Our first visit to BC, my wife and I spent two nights in a superior room, on an inclusive package . We were three couples, although the others stayed one night. All are "seasoned travellers" who typically stay in 10-20 hotels each year all over the world. Baliffscourt is a rather unique venue, rather like staying in a superior private home. The quality of the welcome, and the very agreeable attitude of the staff is evident on arrival, and continues at all times. The warm cosy atmosphere of the public rooms and the bedrooms is enhanced by having open wood fires everywhere (optional in the bedrooms). It was very cold outside when we stayed, but at no time did any part of the hotel feel cold. We much enjoyed the restaurant, and the food quality was very good, although we felt perhaps one or two dishes were rather too complex. Overall the BC is a unique experience, and a refreshing change from so many hotels where the individual customer is not made to feel so valued. We will certainly be going again.

Room Tip: Not enough experience of other rooms.

I have been going to Bailffscourt for almost 50 years and I have watched the progressive changes with fascination.
It was my 70th birthday at the weekend so there was only one place to go with the family to celebrate.
Yet again Bailiffscourt di not let us down. We had a wonderful two night break, the sun shined, the staff were just great so was the food, room and the Spa. Expensive? Yes but worth every penny of it and they do also do some great mid week offers. I am now in a wheelchair but had no problem getting around.
They also take dogs.

Room Tip: I much perfer the superior modern rooms situated within the grounds.

Spent two night in one of the feature rooms at Ballifscourt and had a weekend to remember for all the right reasons. The hotel service, decor and staff are fantastic and the Spa is an absolute must for winding down. The Spa staff are superb and offer a wide range of the latest and more traditional treatments. The dining was excellent with attentive but not over bearing restaurant staff. I would recommend this hotel to anyone!

Room Tip: If you can justify upgrading to one of the feature rooms it is well worth the additional cost.

Our family of two adults and one child have just returned today from a lovely one night stay at Bailiffscourt. We had used a classic mid-week break gift voucher (that the hotel had very kindly allowed us to extend so it didn't expire), the voucher was for two people for dinner, bed and breakfast but our son was allowed to stay on a complementary basis and we only needed to pay for his dinner.

We had a beautiful tapestry style room which was very spacious for the three of us, with good facilities (TV, tea-making) and a lovely bathroom with big bath, twin sinks and a walk-in shower (nice toiletries too :) We used the swimming pool with our son which was also very picturesque (including a heated outside pool and hot tub) with decent changing rooms and showers.

As our son was tired after swimming we decided to have dinner in our room which the restaurant manageress was very accommodating in arranging, to the point of the chef even making sure the desserts were brought out (and our room was quite a way out from the main building) after the first two courses so that the sorbet/cold elements didn't melt, fantastic service all round, including the two waiters who had to trek back and forth with it all!

Needless to say, the food was excellent and even made this vegetarian happy with the options available, my partner did enjoy the scallops and boeuf bourguignon though and my son had a very decent child's portion of sausages, mash and beans.

We all slept very well and enjoyed a wonderful breakfast, all options were available including continental, full cooked, smoked salmon, cheeses, meats etc and even a lovely tureen of porridge which my son had with maple syrup (as well as egg on toast, croissant with Nutella and an amazing hot chocolate!). He said later (as we were walking it all off along beautiful Climping beach) that it was the best breakfast he had ever had!

All in all this is a lovely hotel staffed by some wonderful people and I would not hesitate to recommend it to anyone thinking of staying here. 5 stars.

Once again a stay at Bailiffscourt. Frank, Rosie and Chris were so welcoming and it was a pleasure to see them. The service was excellent and personal and the swimming pools superb. Our food and our drink were, as ever, delicious and sitting by the open fires a wonderful experience in bitterly cold weather. Service at dinner was a little slow, and one of the male waiters seemed more interested in talking to the diners than waiting on table.

I shall go again as soon as I get the money together.

Room Tip: My preference is for the more modern rooms which are lighter and larger.
