Stayed here last weekend and had a fantastic experience. The room was beautifully presented, immaculately clean and we slept really well. We decided to eat in the restaurant and the food was delicious, the staff were extremely accommodating and friendly also. Really recommend, reasonably priced too.

Without doubt the best B&B we've ever stayed at - my husband and I came here for a weekend away and to celebrate St Patrick's Day at the Eight Bells Pub across the road - simply brilliant! The B&B was stunning, beautifully decorated, absolutely spotless, extremely comfy and a great night's sleep had! It's position is wonderful in a little tucked away spot in the South Downs and with the fantastic pub opposite, it's just ideal. We enjoyed the rugby in the pub in the afternoon, then freshened up over the road before returning to celebrate St Patrick's Day in style! Absolutely delicious food, great service, great staff and a fantastic live Irish band to boot! GO HERE if you're lucky enough to find a room available!! And definitely make the most of the Eight Bells Pub too. Great place to stay if you're heading to Ockenden Manor Spa for anything too - it's a cheaper option than staying at Ockenden Manor, and in our minds - a much better option!

Room Tip: We were in the Cornelius room on the ground floor which was just brilliantly handy, I think the only...

Eaten there twice now and have had three courses both times with no disappointments. Lovely food, plenty of it and very reasonable prices. Will be a regular customer in 2013. Its a little out of the way however is very well worth it and you wont be let down. The fillet of beef is well recommended.

Other 5 star reviews are true! The B and B is black and white character cottage opposite the Eight Bells Pub. There is ample parking for both. Breakfast is taken in the pub. The B and B has recently been refurbished to a very high standard. Our room (Bartholomew Room) was warm, bright and airy, superbly furnished and featured a comfortable king sized bed. The huge en suite bathroom has underfloor heating and sets a benchmark in what en suite is all about. There is a varied breakfast menu, and ours was superb. Although we did not eat there after breakfast, the pub featured a varied lunchtime and evening meal menu and a range of cask ales. Although just off the A23, there was no traffic noise. This is the best B and B we have stayed in. Thoroughly recommended!

Room Tip: The Bartholomew room was fantastic, but I have every reason to believe the other two rooms are of a...

We had the pleasure of staying in the Long House, The Eight Bells b&b for nine very comfortable nights. Our room was upstairs where we had a wonderful view of The Eight Bells pub across the street. Emma and Was were the best hosts. Emma's warm smile was the first thing we saw when we arrived and by the time we left we considered both Emma and Was friends. Our room was narrow but beautifully fitted out with a double and a single bed and an en-suite. Tea and coffee making facilities were replenished everyday. There was even bottled water. There was also a sitting room downstairs for the guests. We ate morning and evening meals at the pub and the food was exceptional. Was makes the best scrambled eggs too. Loved them! We can't thank Emma and Was enough for making our stay so memorable. Posh Bob is a real asset to The Eight Bells too. He's a real character.

I came across this b and b on Trip Adviser. As everyone had given it five stars we thought lets see if it is that good. Well, it was easy to find, two minutes off a main A road, set in a beautiful, "old England" village. The Eight Bells pub is opposite the b and b, but it isn't one of those nightmare rowdy, glass smashing, yobbo pubs, just a nice friendly village pub. We stayed in the beautiful ground floor room, but I'm sure all rooms are equally stunning. The room was extremely well thought out, with a king size, super soft, luxurious iron bed. The linen, duvet and pillows were very good quality and it was all spotless. There was a hairdryer in the bedroom, tea/coffee making facilities, bottles of water (nice touch) and a flat screen tv. The bathroom was just exceptional and the nicest I have ever seen. A roll top bath, a very large power shower and everything was immaculate. The rooms were warm, cosy and well decorated. Breakfast was served in the pub opposite, cereal, toast, full English etc. This b and b does truly deserves it's five stars and good reputation. We travel to Brighton regularly and will always aim to stay here in future, its a little gem!

Room Tip: There's only three rooms, and I'm sure all are lovely and quiet.

My husband & I stayed at the Eight Bells after visiting the Bolney Wine estate. We arrived early evening and a warm welcome awaited us. We were taken accross the road from the pub and shown to our room. My first reacton was WOW. Our room had a king size bed. The bedding and pillows were of a high quality. The room came with tea making facilities, hair dryer and flatscreen TV. The bathroom was lovely with a huge bath and shower. We both had a great nights sleep.
We ate in the Pub, the menu had a good choice and the value for money was great.
Our breakfast was really good, the products were of a high quality and really tasty.
I would definately recomend ths B&B to anyone that was staying in the area.
