The room opposite the pub was a real suprise. In a very old house the host had made a perfect room with an even nicer bathroom with a walk in shower and a separate bath.
Very nice.
The pub itself was a bit ran down, but the meals were very good.

We had our wedding at The Eight Bells on the 12th May 2012 and we couldn't have asked for more. We wanted a more homely feel to our Wedding and Waz and Emma and their Team met all of our expectations and more. From start to finish they discussed everything in depth with us really understanding the feel we wanted to create. They delivered a wonderful relaxed, service complete with a generous, delicious three course meal in their characteristic homely room complete with great alcohol (The best beer in the county according to my husband!!). They topped up the buffett and alcohol where necessary but sticking to our limit - making everyone feel relaxed so that all had a great time. We had 39 of us at the sit down meal and 170 for the evening and we fitted nicely creating a great atmosphere along with the band.

We stayed in the b and b for our wedding night and woke up to a beautiful English Breakfast.
Emma and Was went above and beyond making our whole weekend everything and more than we had hoped it would be at a great price and with smiles, friendliness and a wonderful welcoming nature from start to finish. We would recommend both the pub/restaurant and BnB to anyone :)

All our Thanks, Sophie and Michael Storer

Booked here approx 2 months in advance, found the place on internet and it looked nice. Stayed 4 nights this Dec. and we were extremely happy. All; the room, the house, the hosts, the food - everything exceeded our expectations. We have travelled a lot around the world, to us this could easily match a "posh" hotel anywhere! Clean, beautiful bathroom (with a fantastic bathtub) - the room with traditional 'tudor' windows with modern fixtures on the inside retained the charm. Excellent location for day trips to London and Brighton. Plenty of parking available (no cost). Will be back and highly recommend a stay with the Eight Bells.

Room Tip: Go for the Bartholomew - upstairs, check it out on their website.

We stayed in Bolney as we had a friends wedding nearby and we're so glad we found The Eight Bells as it was perfect. We were going to book into a Travelodge as we knew we wouldn't be spending too much time in the room but were so glad we booked this instead.

Where to start? We didn't arrive until 11pm so we phoned ahead and the barman promised us not to worry and we can check in whenever we get there. We were shown to our room which was lovely, coffee and tea making facilities, massive bathroom, king size bed and a good sized bedroom with the softest linen!

We slept very well (my girlfriend said "it was like sleeping in a cloud"!), woke at 8.30 and had a lovely breakfast in the pub. Good quality sausages, bacon and the full works - what a way to start the day! The shower was very powerful but unfortunately we didn't have time to use the beautiful roll top bath. We stayed in the room at the top of the stairs on the left hand side.

All in all 10/10 - keep up the good work!

We had just started our 3 month tour of UK and came across this place by chance, it's off the main road a bit and by luck we spotted it as we drove past. Great food and hospitality, plus nice walks around the town. The room we had over the road from the quaint little pub was lovely, we paid a bit more than some of the other places we have stayed at, but well worth the little extra.

Room Tip: Unless you know the area, it's easy to miss this quiet little village

Stayed here for 1 night combined with a visit to the Bolney Estate for a wine tour.
Great pub with excellent food and friendly atmosphere and staff. The 3 room B&B is opposite the pub and is AA four star rated. Downstairs in this old building is a communal sitting room with small library of books, and a double bedroom, whilst there are two further bedrooms upstairs. All have ultra-modern decor and superb individual bathrooms - surprisingly all in keeping with the restored old building. Bolney is a pretty village in W. Sussex and only 10 miles from Brighton. The wine Tour is fascinating and avoucher for this makes a great present - but we can't recommend the wine - not even the free bottle !

Room Tip: All rooms are beautiful and comfortable - the Cornelius room is on the ground floor.

I can only repeat what previous reviewers have said about the Eight Bells. We stayed here 2 nights as we were visiting Bookers Vineyard. Tuesday is Open Mic night and is great fun, so bring you guitar if your are musical or just appreciate the locals having a go. There are 3 real ales-we tried them all, they were delicious. I can recommend the full English Breakfast & the pub meals tasty & good value. We had the family room-it was the only one available for our 2 nights. I think we had a small double bed but there was also a single bed in the room, so two people can use it as a twin room. We were made very welcome by the owners & will definitely stay again if we are in the area.
