“Great Adult Weekend Break”
Reviewed March 10, 2013

Well Shoreline Hotel you've done yourself proud. Just been to a Soul weekend, the hotel is fab, warm and comfortable and the food was great also. Parking next door to the hotel was very convenient. A special thanks to the staff on reception and in the restaurant, particularly Firenc, really helpful and friendly.
All in all a very good weekend. Any couple or group of friends should try a weekend, there's something for everyone.

We have stayed at Butlins quite a lot over the years, for the first time in this hotel last year. It was nice clean, friendly, a good all rounder, the room was very clean, and over looked the gardens and sandpit. the food was okay, could do with a little more rooms on the tables, but that's just being picky!! Will never go in summer holidays, or half term again, the difference in queuing and waiting for everything differs greatly from terms to not term time, and the price difference is huge!!! Would defo recommend, when the kids are at school, and it's a little quieter!

I booked a new year break for my myself and my family over New Year at the Shoreline Hotel Butlins Bognor Regis, i booked a total of 3 rooms ranging from the Nelson Stateroom to the standard rooms, although very clean my Nelson stateroom defiantly did not warrent the extra money as it was bigger but had no extra amentites. as we were only there for 3 nights i decided that i didnt reqire housekeeping services so i put do not disturb on our door, housekeeping let themselves in twice!!! Both times we were in the room and didnt know they had been in until we saw the clean towels. Do Not distrurb should mean do not disturb, it would have frightend the life out my 18 year old daughter and niece if they were in on their own and housekeeping entered the room!
All in all it was lovely to spend New Year away with my family butr would not go to Butlins again unless i had Grandchildren to take.
My children range from 18 to 25 and they were all bored! entertainment was soley geaared up for very young childrent, there was NO adult entertainment at all! and no bar that you could sit in to get away from the very young childrent that were allowed to run around until the venues closed around 12 midnight!

We have just got back from a break at The Shoreline Hotel. We stayed in the Nelsons Stateroom. The hotel is clearly signposted as you enter the camp and is extremely close to the pavilion and shops.

Car park was horrendous. Nowhere to park and people were abandoning their cars on curbs. Nightmare. However hotel reception was bright and clean and the staff seemed helpful. We stayed half board but when we checked in at 4pm there were no tables for dinner until 7pm, which was a bit late for our 3 year old and 17 month old. We asked for a voucher which can be used at many eateries on the camp and used that.

We had pre-booked a cot and it wasn't there when we got to our room. There was no phone in our room either but we ccalled reception twice from our mobile to request a cot and when we returned at 7.30pm and it still wasn't there we went to reception personally and someone bought one straight away. Other niggles were that the safe didn't work or the DVD player in the kids den. We weren't really bothered about using these things so we didnt mention them to reception, although im sure they would have sorted it had we of asked.

Hotel was clean and staff were friendly, room was nice and good for families (very safety aware). Breakfast in the hotel was nice, evening meal wasnt as good so we ate out (using our hotel voucher) a couple of times.

Lifts were a bit of a nightmare esp at busy times. We often found ourselves waiting for ages. We struggled with the stairs because of the pushchair but that seemed like the better option.

Our room had a garden area, would be lovely if goin during warmer times, we didn't use it as it was December and quite cold.

Room was bright and airy and on the whole a decent stay. Only complaint would be the length of time it took for a travel cot to be delivered but other than that, all was good.

We have stayed at skegness in a gold apartment and I would probably say skegness jus clinched it on the accommodation front.
