“Great mid week break”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 12, 2012

We stayed at the Shoreline Hotel for 3 days in May and had a very enjoyable time. We stayed with our 2 year old daughter and she loved every second. She had her own little room with a telly and DVD player which she loved as she didnt have her own at home. The room was well equiped with a childs toilet seat, a step stool and even a rubber duck for the bath. The resturant was well very well laid out and provided some excellent meals with a good service. The hotel was packed with characters and had character visits so we were able to get a photo with her and Billy Bear without having to wait in the huge after show queues.

Bultins itself was very good and had some great shows, rides and a great swimming pool which we visited everyday.

Would recommend espically out of term times as you can get a great deal for the younger childern.

We have stayed here twice this year with our three year old son, and he LOVES it. It's completely kid-friendly, with a rubber duck, step stool, and child's toilet seat in the bathroom, He gets his own room with bunk beds and his own telly with dvd player. The place is packed with fun characters (Billy Bear etc) and in the restaurant there is a children's buffet area where they can help themselves.

We (the adults) love it because it is immaculately clean, quiet inside our room, reasonably priced and comfortable.

Food is good. Nothing to rave about, but they are accommodating of special needs and it is plentiful. The restaurant is chaotic and noisy, but that's to be expected with so many small children.

All the Butlins facilities are fabulous. The indoor tropical swimming was our favourite, along with the shows. In my personal opinion, there is too much sugar everywhere, but then other families didn't seem to mind this!

Room Tip: Do not stay at the Shoreline if you don't have a child under five with you. It would be a night...

We just got back from a weekend Break here. It was excellent in every way! Nothing was too much trouble for reception to do, they were slick, pleasant and very knowledgeable and seemed to have things done in an instant as Id just finished asking!

Our kids loved their room with its bunks and the fluffy towel creatures that the staff left each day. We loved the proximity to everything, making it easy to pop back to the room for things or to give the children a rest!

The restaurant was great with lots of variety, super friendly service and our children loved the low counter they could. Left their food from.

I can honestly say that I didnt see one grumpy/ unfriendly staff member anywhere in the resort the entire weekend. There was loads to do, the entertainment was well planned and delivered professionally. Many details have been thought of and I appreciated them (ie the arrival of red coats with hula hoops for the children when queuing for the big shows and how to get as much audience involvement as possible at the Birds of Prey and Animal Antics shows.

Go Butlins, you did it for me. I felt valued, relaxed and enjoyed seeing countless examples of you living up to your mission statement /targets that I'd spied on the mousemat in the hotel reception!

Have just returned from weekend break with my family inc grandparents and great aunt .This is our fifth visit to the shoreline hotel and as always it did not dissapoint. The hotel is always clean the staff are friendly and welcoming. The resort is always being improved with new restaurants and upgrades to old ones .We always book halfboard option and as we booked early we got an offer for kids eating free. This alowes you to eat in lots of different restuarants we opted for three different options 1. Turners the food was ok but the service very slow it took over an hour and a half to get one course served and eaten then thirty mins for desert which then meant our daughter missed the Jessie J tribute the staff were very apologetic and perhaps it is because it is new this year it is a teething problem. 2 The beechcomber Pub food very good standard and prompt service 3 The shoreline hotel restuarant very extensive choice of food we ate on a sunday so there was a cavery option which was very nice apart from very hard roast potaoes
In essence it is very good value for money and offers far more included activities than other family type holidays

Room Tip: ask for rooms facing bognor with little ones patio rooms are good

Hotel room was clean and had everything we needed, kids loved their little den with tv/dvd and it was lovely to have a patio although would have been great to have some sort of fencing so the toddlers could play in it without running off after the birds! Breakfast and Dinner in the Shoreline was excellent, not full of junk and the kids loved being able to choose and help themselves. Well worth buying the hotel dining plan and would recommend booking a table for each night your going to eat there when you arrive. Entertainment was brilliant for all ages, spa was lovely and relaxing and all the Butlins staff were brilliant and really made the weekend special.
Overall, would highly recommend Shoreline for families with younger kids, they have the earlier dinner times, its close to play area and they have special little touches like Billy Bear bed time.
All the hotels at Bognor looked great though and much prefer the hotel to chalets.

We have just been on a 4 day break at the shoreline hotel at Butlins Bognor, and I must say we were very surprised and impressed by the hotel. We have always gone for silver chalet before now but decided to treat ourselves to the hotel as we managed to get 50% off, The hotel room was big and the kids area with bunk beds is great my son even had his own TV which he thought was brilliant, the restaurant in the hotel was fantastic and the kids have their own section where they can help themselves. Food was of good quality, I would highly recommend

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view, if you can get a balcony even better

Me, my Husband and our 5 year old have just come back from a 5 day visit to the Shoreline Hotel at Butlins Bognor Regis. There are 3 Hotels on site and despite the Shoreline being the cheapest and oldest of these, the standard of accommodation and food was very good on the whole. The rooms were reasonably large, with bunk beds for the little ones (who also got their own DVD/TV) and a large double for us. The style was open plan, but the childrens' sleeping area is seperated enough due to the bathroom being in the middle. Food was plentiful and good and the staff were helpful. They have one of Butlins' main mascots - Billy Bear - "sleeping" on site and the kids can help put him to bed and there are story times etc.
The only complaints I have about the accommodation are that they play tannoy music in the corridors till late at night (if you call reception they will turn it off ) and there is no way to secure the door from being opened by over zealous little ones trying to find Billy Bear at 4am! The door just has a standard turn lock next to the handle - they could really do with putting latches further up to keep the children secure - it did worry me quite a bit especially as the childrens' sleeping area is right next to the front door.
The resort itself was good fun with loads for the under 8s to enjoy - don't think you can beat it for children's entertainment in the uk. We will definitely come again - but will be bringing something to jam the door with!
