“Lovely site in a nice spot, caravan bit shabby.”
Reviewed July 24, 2014

Spent 4 nights here, our 3rd visit and must say as far as the entertainment goes in the evening it beats Haven, Park Resorts etc hands down. Bingo every night , party dances and a cabaret with very talented young people singing and dancing. Nice large ballroom plenty of seating and food available to order at the bar at very reasonable rates. Cant fault it really. Swimming pool nice too and very clean. Outside pool is great to sit round and relax and the pool is spotless and the water not too cold. I booked our caravan privately and was a bit disappointed as it had obviously seen better days. It was tucked away near the river and was not easy to park a car outside as caravans very close together there. It was clean and tidy but small things spoilt it, like constantly dripping tap in kitchen, toaster that didn't work, shower so powerful it would knock a small child over, was more suited as a jet spray for a car than a human! We couldn't stand under it as it hurt too much and no way of adjusting it! Beds in twin rooms not full length so not suitable for an average sized adult. Memory foam mattresses covered in plastic also made for very hot and sticky nights! Caravan definitely needs some money spent on it and I wouldn't re-book this particular one another time although I would definitely return to Riverside as it is my sort of Park. (caravan it is up for sale so doubt it be at Riverside much longer) Bit annoyed that I had to pay and extra £60 for 3 adult passes too, I really think £5 per day is excessive and Riverside should consider lower this as some days we didn't even use the swimming pool and we were never asked to show our passes when we went in the Ballroom or arcade! That's why I have lowered my score from v good to average. However, all in all an enjoyable 4 night break with my daughter and her friend. Convenient to have Tesco, Pizza Hut, Burger King and Sainsbury's so near too, but beach only 5 min drive away.

we spent 4 nights at this caravan park which was very clean and had very good facilities we did not use the pools but they looked very good and also clean the club house was very good it was a shame more people did not use it as the entertainment team worked hard to make you night enjoyable. What we really enjoyed was going out on the bus it was such a good service and we went to so many places on the 700 route that we see more than we have ever done before the was also a Tesco right night to the sight so shopping was very easy and cheap. Bognor beach was very clean and the sea was warm not like the med but very nice. We had a great time and would go to this caravan park again.

Upon arrival it looks great. Then you get to reception. It's peak and a ghost town. The receptionist was rude it felt like she couldnt care less and loads of random guys outside just sat there(presumably staff)just staring at you looking miserable. Eventually got to the caravan after they had lost the keys. The caravan was basic which is what you'd expect. However, the floor was black originally beige, handles kept falling off cupboards, heater didn't work, oven seal was broken and so couldn't cook food, curtains had mould on,curtains hanging off rails, dirty cutlery, ripped sofa etc. then after we settled in,We found there was bed quilts just no linen, which is £15 a caravan even though the the site says it's free. The entertainment was well....just that.Almost non existant. They even offered us entertainment passes when I booked which I foolishly purchased at £5 a head . This is because you can just walk in off the street and enter there without even being questioned that's how secure it is. The inside pool was very dirty and although both outdoor and indoor were warm the kids pool was like the artic. The inside pool is very dirty as well. The life guards were snot nosed lads who after letting us in said we are on tea break for an hour in a minute so pool closed even though it said nothing outside. There are a tescos and sainsburys also a KFC,pizza hut,my Donaldson and burger king nearby. With a free bus service into town from sainsburys which we had to find ourselves due to the absent welcome pack in caravan. Then there was the restaurant. They should all be sacked. Slowest service known to man. They tutted when they had to make 5 coffees which they still forgot to give to us with breakfast which took nearly 45minutes to serve us.they were to busy smoking outside. I have never been to a more rubbish holiday. I would even rate pontins off peak in February better than this. Upon leaving, not even a "hope you enjoyed your stay" just grabbed keys off of us and said bye.Very very disappointed.

First impressions the camp site looked nice and clean when entering....staff on reception was not very welcoming. Our caravan had moldy curtains, the cooker seal was broken, the carpet was very dirty, tap kept dripping, dirty cups and sofa was riped. The entertainment in the ball room was shocking.... Only us and a couple more families in there. The staff in the cafe didn't seem to happy to get our custom and were always siting outside smoking. However there us a big Tesco and sainsburys near and a free bus to bognor town from Sainsburys. We didn't even get a goodbye or thanks for staying!!

Stayed here with family, the caravan seemed ok at first. A large living space, one double bedroom and two twin rooms. The seating area needs a good clean, the toilet very small, and the boiler for the hot water kept going out. Ridiculously For 5 adults we were only allocated one key . During the week the club house is dead, more staff than customers. On Monday we had food in the club house and it was terrible . Therefore we never returned to the club house until Saturday .
The pool is the only good thing on the camp.

Thankfully we only had a 3 night break! We chose Riverside Caravan Centre because it was only a few miles from Goodwood where we were visiting the festival of speed, NEVER AGAIN the Aldwick Caravan number 274 was disgusting. We found the caravan after checking in at reception to find that the dirty bed linen had just been thrown out on to the grass which was over a foot long in some places. We entered the Caravan to find the carpet looking like it had had a barrel of oil thrown over it, it was almost black when it should of been beige we were sticking to the vinyl kitchen floor, the curtains had food on them the net curtains were ripped and mouldy, seating was ripped and worn. The shower had mouldy sealant around it and dirty taps and shower head. There were no plugs for the sinks, dirty saucepan, only 1 teaspoon. Litter was also under the caravan along with a bag of dog faeces! The bed was the only good thing in the caravan it was actually clean and comfortable. Because reception closed at 5pm we never got a chance to complain and we were out early before they opened every morning. we paid around £200 for this 3 night break and expected a least a clean caravan but I really cannot even give it 1 star rating it was so bad and a letter of complaint has gone off to Head Office. It all looks very impressive at the front of the park with its neatly cut grass and flower beds but don't let that fool you!

Booked as a sun holiday, we tried to book our usual Haven Pagham but only this one available for the dates we wanted. Its sandwiched in-between a large Sainsbury and Tesco which is a little strange, I am sure the caravan site was there first though! But once inside the site, depending on where your caravan is, you wouldn't notice that is in an industrial area. First impressions were it looks outdated and a bit run down. The two security lads on reception were very friendly and helpful, took a couple of mins to get the key. The caravan was very clean, and nice little touches like, washing up liquid, cleaning spray, tea, coffee, shampoo and shower gel (allot of parks don't provide these and you have to take your own). Food and drink in the club house was reasonably priced and not bad. Entertainment was ok, the kids enjoyed it, and they didn’t think much of the arcades, which was handy for us as they spent less! It’s a bit rough and ready. Only 10 mins drive from Bognor Beach, had fantastic weather which I think helped.
The only thing I can really criticize was the sour faced women on reception when we checked out. Once she managed to tear herself away from whatever was more interesting than serving a customer, she took the key, no thank you, did you have a nice time? Nothing, just a sour faced look as if I had inconvenienced her. Apart from that it was good. Would I return, probably not unless I got a good deal.
