“Fantastic accommodation for the whole family”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed December 17, 2012 via mobile

The hotel is well presented with fantastic family rooms. The children had their own room with good sized beds, night lights and a tv/DVD player. Our room was well proportioned, clean and very comfortable with a great balcony area. The restaurant within the hotel was fantastic offering a great range of food to suit all tastes:). Service was excellent and the new butler service is a great addition.

we have an 8 year old boy, and usually go to Christmas market in Germany. But the price has gone up so much, we decided to see what butlins was like. As time got closer we got more apprehensive.
when we got there the rooms were surprisingly good, children have there own TV in there room with DVD renal.
The food was so much better then I thought, i would say even good (BETTER THEN CENTER PARKS) we ate in the beach comber pub, and Turners.we watched a show and that was good to.
We stayed for 3 days my son loved it and didn't won't to go home, us on the other hand after 4 hrs we got in the car and went to Chichester for the day much more our seen, then came back to the pool.
The attractions are tired and need updating to the standard of the hotels and food. The hole place could look a lot nicer, a bit concrete. All the staff could not be any more helpful. A good cheap alternative to center parks.

Third time we have stayed here - its great - perfect for family of four. The staff are really helpful - Laura on reception went over & above what you would expect to help us - amazing service will definitely be back again Also Aggie in lost property at Butlins again very helpful & friendly.

Room Tip: We think its worth having the balcony - even in winter it gives you a little more space

Family of four (kids aged 4 & 2) stayed for fireworks weekend. Very pleasantly surprised by quality of hotel accommodation. Lovely room - separate kids den with own tv is fab idea. Great service - staff were very prompt delivering bed guards at short notice. only negative: Parking bit limited at hotel but plenty just round corner. Would defo recommend.

We stayed at this hotel for 1 week, (2 Adults + 1 child) The location is fabulous and check in was quick. The room was very clean, spacious and had fantastic views of the sea. We only had 2 negatives that could improve this hotel. The first was that the balcony has decking which was fine, until we decided to have breakfast on the balcony at the same time as the family directly above us, their crumbs etc falling through on to our plates etc, and when it rained the rain came through also, The second is that this hotel could benefit from having another lift, on certain days the lift area was hectic with people and their luggage waiting for the lift. The Kaleidoscope restaurant we thought was very good, with nice decor, great food and plenty of selection. Bognor town is just a short walk away and has a good variety of shops. There is Plenty to do at this resort. The swimming pool was great!!! The entertainment was first class and the entertainers worked very hard. We did have a great stay and we have booked this resort again, this time we will be staying in the Wave Hotel.

Room Tip: Do not book a room where it states "small balcony" which from what i recall is called the...

Ocean hotel is very clean and modern. It is more geared up for teenagers and adults I would say as there are lots of disco type lights and music. Also ideal for the adult Butlins weekends. We booked to stay in the Shoreline Hotel as we have 2 little ones, but unfortunately it was closed for refurbishment so we were allocated to this hotel instead. The room was very nice, clean and modern, with lovely colour changing lighting. The communal areas were bright fresh clean and airy. The lifts were awful, we seemed to spend a lot of our holiday waiting for them! They either need more or have them programmed more efficiently. The butler team were very helpful. The restaurant was average, not as good as the Shoreline. The choice wasn't great and I had to keep asking for things which was a pain with 2 little ones. The baby food consisted of the same 2 flavours all week so glad I took my own but a terrible waste of money. Overall very nice for families with older children. I will be booking to go to the Shoreline next time.

Room Tip: We were in the front of the hotel and we could hear the road at night, also very loud service vehicl...

I booked this hotel as a suprise for my partners 30th birthday... the day i arrived i thought i wood see if i could get in early and because i asked for cake and balloons in the room it was not quite there (although i will mention that Russel who was in charge had no idea about it and it was not planned to be done so glad i checked on it before just taking partner up there) it took him 40 mins to sort it as ran out of ballons but that is where all my problems stopped,,, our break was great the room itself was great, my 2 year old son loved his bedroom with underbed lights plus the dvd player and tv was an added bonus for him... the bathroom had disco lighting and the shower is the most powerful shower i have ever used i loved it... the main bedroom had lovely colourful changing lights over the main bed which was really cool and our balcony was facing the sea which was absolutely fantastic in the mornings.... we woke and had a cuppa out there every day. bed was real comfy and everything worked fine in there obviously it could do with a refreshen up on the walls but wat do you expect with amount of people go in and out... we had breakfast every day in the hotel and it was lovely. chef cant pouch eggs though ha ha.... all the rides and play areas are great for kids as you dont pay for any of it (apart from the ones you put coins in) swimming pool i will say was quite cold but son loved it.... i would most definately want to go again but even at half price that we paid i do feel for 4 nights in can be a litte expensive

Room Tip: ask for the highest room possible facing the sea
