“Amazing itallian meal :) a little expensive but friendly service!”
Reviewed April 14, 2013 via mobile

Being on a weekend away, I didn't know any restaurants in the area but found this one with mixed reviews on tripadvisor, so thought we would give it a go. We arrived with no booking at 7pm on Saturday evening. It was quiet at first but by 7:30 the restaurant was full! Not suprising, because the food was to die for! We shared garlic mushrooms in a filo pastry basket and chicken pate with toast for starters. Both were a good portion size and very enjoyable. I had pollo royale for the main course, which was fantastic. It was chicken, prawns and peppers in an orange cheesy sauce, with sauteed potatoes. My partner had tagliatelli Dan tell and he said it was "the best he had ever had!" With a pint of draught peroni and an apple juice our bill came to just under 50. So a little expensive but worth it for the lovely food. The service was quick, waiter had a good sense of humour and even "welcomed us to the family". Although it was busy, we didn't feel rushed or ignored. We enjoyed this meal and if we return to the area would definately visit again! Yum yum! :)

“Nice food, disappointing service.”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

The food was lovely, but the service was disappointing.
We had not booked and went in on the off chance. We were told we should have booked, but shown to a table anyway.
We were given menus orders taken we were only asked what mains we wanted and they took a drinks order.
Food was great. We were then given the bill after we had just finished our last mouthful, we were not asked if we wanted any desserts or more drink.
I feel disappointed as the food was great and have not been back there since. I was left feeling uncomfortable.
What a disappointment! :(

“Fantastic Food and lots of it :)”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

I went to this restaurant as a birthday treat for my Dad, Mom and Daughter who all had birthdays within a week of each other. We went as a party of 11 and I can honestly say that the Staff, atmosphere and ambiance were wonderful and so was the glorious smells wafting from the kitchen. We sat in the Bar for a couple of drinks then went through to our table. Nothing was too much trouble for the staff and they will happily explain anything on the menu to you and were all very knowledgeable about the food and wine. Ask them to tell you everything in Italian - swoooon :)

The food arrived to the table quickly and well presented. There was no rush and the space between courses was just right. The food was hot and plentiful - in fact there was probably a little too much for some of us.

Would definatley recommend this little gem :)

“wow , what a cracker”
Reviewed March 24, 2013

It was early spring in west brom , the snow was deep and the temperature was below zero , the satnav got lost and the taxi we had to take from the town centre meant that we arrived 30 mins late.
Great greeting on arrival , the reception/bar staff were all smiles and enjoying their work [always a good sign] very soon we were shown to our table and menus were produced. We chose lobster and chicken with a starter, the restaurant section is well appointed and the service was excellent. The place was busy (it was a saturday night) in spite of the extreme weather conditions outside and it was clear that many of the patrons were regular visiters. The food when it came was excellent and had been prepared by a kitchen staff that cared.
Unlike many restaurants the Bellagio seems to work really hard to produce an atmosphere that is almost festive, Saturday nights there is a live singer (not bad) and the whole experience was a delight. Congratulations to the chef, also Bruno and Vincenzo who's work rate keeps the place ticking. We thoroughly enjoyed the experience and will definately return. Highly reccomended.

“Surprising Location”
Reviewed March 17, 2013 via mobile

Surprised to find this place in this area, especially as it's hidden away and not in a main part of town. Heard of it while looking for it's more famous version in Dudley online.
Wanted to book a table for 2 at 3pm, was told it was full, so picked 1pm, when I got there, it was empty. Literally just us, and another couple.
From outside, it looks nothing special. inside, the atmosphere was bizarre. Although the restaurant has been furnished superbly, the authenticity loses a little with the choice of pop music rather than something more traditional. Also, the female of the other couple present was wearing a replica football shirt, making me feel very overdressed in smart casual!
The staff were brilliant, I have to say. This may have been because they didn't have many people to tend to, but they were friendly, and attended us whenever required.
The food was top notch, and very reasonably priced. I had seen the Lobster Ravioli on the menu online. This wasn't on the menu in the restaurant, but still no problem, I got it. They didn't scrimp on the lobster, and the white wine sauce was lovely. My wife ordered a Pizza, which was bigger than we expected, but fantastic. Only criticism is that the side of French Fries was blatantly supermarket bought.
My wife ordered a Tiramisu dessert, it was superb. Our bill came to a reasonable £32, (though we hadn't had alcohol).
To be honest, living near this area, I'm surprised a place like this exists here. I'd definitely recommend it from this visit, and will be dining here again.
