Country pub it says. No dogs though, country people all have dogs. Forced to sit in the garden. Beer is supposedly high class real ale. At best mediocre. One was all we wanted.

Second visit to the pub after seeing it mentioned in Sunday Times as Warwickshire Dining Pub of the year.First visit kitchen could not cope with number of orders so closed for a period of time to new orders.Gave benefit of the doubt and visited again today.
Entered and waited by the lady who was allocating tables she ignored us for several minutes. Not great first impression.
Ploughmans lunch was ok ish but missing the home made piccallili we had enjoyed last time and just served on a plate instead of previous attractive wooden platter.
Waited ages for drinks...when we asked no apology just informed waitress had a backlog. Finally as we paid bill young girl taking our card paid us no attention whatsoever and carried on long chat with other girl behind bar as she processed our card, which we felt was actually pretty rude and certainly not good service.
So this will definitely be last visit food is ok not outstanding and service really not up to standard here.Far better places to eat with good service in Warwicksire.Staff here need basic training in the art of customer service!!!

Was driving from Bath to Leicester and was busting to use the restroom and was half deciding to stop at Shakespeare's hometown at Strafford upon Avon.

Chanced upon this pub by accident quickly just looking for a cafe/pub/restaurant enroute via googlemaps while driving. Its kitchen also said it closed at 3pm and not the usual 2pm which was good as we were running late on our driving tour

VERY pleasantly pleased with food and price. Wife had faggots with beef reduction while i had muistard chicken. Had the Sticky Toffee Pudding which was big as described by multiple reviewers.

Staff were very helpful and patient with us and put us in a big corner so baby could continue sleeping in a baby capsule /transport device.

Would thoroughly recommend anyone driving from the West County towards the midlands to stop over this pub. Incidentally, the pub won Warwickshire Dining Pub of the year from 2017-2019 and it has a sign at its car park which there was plenty of space. I cant disagree with their title.

We live reasonably locally but had not been to the Bell Inn until today. We went for lunch and were not disappointed. I had the steak and Guinness pie and my wife had the lasagne. Both meals were fabulous. The service was excellent and the atmosphere in the pub was really nice as there were quite a number if people eating there. We will definitely go back.
