Great hotel staff very friendly there is parking but limited but free car park just around the corner- we had superior room on the first floor overlooked high street needs some kind of window dressing as very exposed to high street and u don’t always want to close the drapes; during the day and early morning noisey as opposite the coop, room very nice great shower no bath, as we next to stairs and over reception we could hear phone ringing and stairs very creaky and we coul really hear the room above us walking about on the creaking floors. We ate in the restaurant really great value for money food was lovely nice table really nice experience again staff very friendly, all in all a nice stay

Room Tip: Not our room number one maybe one higher up not next to stairs plus no bath

Our first visit here for lunch and it will not be our last! There is a very large dining area which opens into a pleasant outside dining area - a good thing in the hot Summer of 2018. The menu provided a wide choice and the staff were extremely friendly and helpful. We thoroughly enjoyed our lunch. Highly recommended.

We stayed on a Friday evening. The rooms are well designed and furnished. The room with a free standing bath is very nice. Would be full marks but the room was missing a few of the touches as they last occupants had been a later check out. Small things like only one cup for the coffee machine. Also didn't see the need for hoovering outside the door early in the morning.

Ordered a small plate fish cake which was nice but dropped at the table with no cutlery. I politely asked the waitress if we could have some only to be told rudely we had to get it ourselves. Are you for real? Ridiculously embarrassing at these prices...
Rated 1 because the food was ok but shocking service

First the good 'stuff', the hotel is ideally and centrally located in Shipston, hotel is decorated and furnished to a high standard and the beds are very comfortable. However the service is awful, we had breakfast on the two mornings we stayed and it was chaos, they ran out of everything and when we asked for something i.e. Cereal bowls, cups and saucers etc. we had to wait over 20 mins and had to constantly remind them. The food itself, when it finally arrived was good. I would not recommend eating here. Now to the room, it was a classic room, room 14, it was smaller than expected, but the bathroom was a tiny shower room, goodness knows how a taller/larger than average person would manage in there. Regarding room rate, they vary wildly, we paid £120 per night without breakfast (although we challenged this and it was included.....eventually) others at the hotel paid £70 per night which included breakfast. When we raised with the hotel they just said rates varied. They were not interested.

Room Tip: Don't book room 14, ask for a room on the first floor, they are bigger
