“Highly Recommend - Had a great time!”

£99 deal with GN Holidays, 2 nights Dinner/Bed/Breakfast, entertainment both nights (we only went first night which was a comedian but had a great laugh). 99p bar on house drinks(lager/beer/ wine/ spirits) 5-11pm (bar staff were young pups who were lovely and friendly which makes a change!). Staff extremely helpful - had mix up on our room on arrival only due to the fact somebody had (coincidentaly) booked in with same name as my friend, another room was identified without any problems . Twin room was great, a little piece of wallpaper peeling off the bottom corner of the wall and window a bit stiff to open but besides that the bed was one of the comfiest I'd ever slept in (better than my new one at home!), all linen was clean as was bathroom, We were on an 'over 40s' break (were early 40s), ages in general were 50+ with a few more couples staying at the hotel in their 30s/40s. This didn't phase us at all as everyone was extremely friendly and chatty. Health spa with swimming pool (good size), sauna, jacuzzi and gym included in our price which was great - recommend the neck and back massage in beauty salon (1/2 hr £15). Market Bosworth literally 5 mins walk through the churchyard in the grounds, Ye Olde Red Lion Pub - excellent food at good prices. Country Park opposite the entrance to the Hotel with lovely little lake and lots of various walks. Food (buffet style) was wonderful and could not fault, wide choice and plenty of it. Advise book your table in advance for dinner as it gets busy. Got moved to the Crompton Suite on our last day for breakfast as the main area was full, it was less busy and food wasn't as hot but still lots of choice, a conversation we overheard between staff and the Manager was that something needed to be done as it wasn't right for people to have to move to another area for breakfast so it was nice to know they cared about the guests. All in all It depends how 'fussy' you are, some of the reviews say staff were unfriendly (we saw none of this) and rooms were dated, they weren't 'high tec' rooms the shower wasn't anything modern it was just a shower head coming from the wall but it was like a power shower which was fab! decor/ furniture was fine, ours (No. 61 twin) was really clean which was more important and therefore can't comment on other peoples experiences. A couple we spoke to felt it was for older people and said their room was dusty and wouldn't visit again, but for the price we paid we have absolutely no complaints and we are alreadly talking about going back for another girlie weekend, even if you did pay more we found the staff, food, venue and locality to be great.

It doesn't pretend to be the Ritz. I'd call it high class budget. I'm fussy and Bosworth Hall will do for me. You need to be on the ball and get the best deal. They do a weekend special DBB and bottle of wine for just over £50. Unbelievable value for money. I pay £160 elsewhere for the same deal, yes it's nicer but I can only repeat I'm fussy and you can't really fault Bosworth FOR THE PRICE PAID.

Rooms are fine. Linen and Towels spotless and loads of hot water. Everything works. The pool and jacuzzi are free (£1 to use a fresh towel)...wonderful way to relax. Food is basic and help yourself but hot and plentiful. Have as much as you like. Organisation at busy times was impressive and service excellent. Plenty of staff. Nice to see.

For around £25 pp including the wine, it's ridiculous value. Get yourself booked and take your swimming trunks too. You'll have a ball.

We stayed here for one night to get away with the family. We have stayed at the hotel before but it's been years since we visited.

We got the room cheaply at £35 for a night B&B but the food in the hotel for dinner was rather limited (we ended up having room service which was rather restrictive in choice - burgers and rather expensive for what it was.) However, we did get an upgrade (to an executive room) as the standard room did not fit two cots (we had to pay for a 10p minute phone line to confirm that they could provide cots and would fit in a standard room.) I am glad we didn't have to pay for the 'upgrade.' but was very pleased that cots were quickly provided and without any fuss.

The room was fine. The bed comfortable. Breakfast was a help yourself affair which was fine. The staff were friendly and helpful.

We used the swimming pool which was clean and fairly quiet. (Although you have to pay £1 for a towel.)

Overall we enjoyed our stay.

we have just returned from the weekend carry on new year through gm holidays.there have been a lot of complaints about this break and the hotel and i have got to say some might be valid and some just like to moan about anything.lets get this in perspective from the start. £99 and 99p a drink, bed breakfast and evening meal for two nights with entertainment.first nothing to do with the hotel but the entertainment was cheesey.i personally thought the comedian on the first night was ok,but the singer on the next night was poor (nursing home standard) but to her credit she did get a lot of the audiance on her side and thats only my opinion.the hotel and that is what it is all about, from the approach to it looks very impressive and is set in some lovely grounds.it is a little dated inside in places and well used, but i have to say our rooms were lovely and clean and i thought the hotel was clean and parts of it are quite impressive.we had use of the lovely pool and health facilities and all the service was fine.the food was excellant plenty of choice and everything we had was piping hot and delicious.if you pay the sort of money we did then i have to be honest and say terrific value and well worth it.obviously when you dont get the deals you have judge it all on the price you pay but i found it hard to fault it for value.

4 of us (aged 60+) enjoyed our weekend 8-10 Jan.Food and service very good. Our rooms were in an older part of hotel and we did find some dust in our rooms. but took little
notice of it. Our friends room did smell of tobacco, but we think this came from guests opening fire doors and smoking outside. We reported it twice, and corridors were sprayed with air freshener! We really enjoyed the entertainment, a good comedian on Friday, and a very good lady singer, (who was a last miniute replacement), but very dissappointed wih layout of room. It was supposed to be a party night, but it was layed out like a theatre, with no tables to put our drinks on and no room to dance. It would made it a better weekend if these small details had been sorted out.

I have just returned from the GN Holidays Carry On New Year weekend - £99 per person Fri to Sun, including Breakfast, Evening Meal, full use of Health Club and 99p bar! I went with my husband and another couple - we had a great time! The hotel is a Grade 2 listed building with some old parts and some new parts. It also has luxury rooms and standard (budget) rooms - so for the price we paid the budget rooms were very good - our friends room was slightly bigger than ours but both were perfectly adequate, with a good clean bathroom, plenty of tea/coffee/hot choc/biscuits, all the toiletries you need and a working TV and remote control. Our room was clean and didn't smell of anything! I didn't notice the smell of smoke anywhere in the hotel, other than on guests that were going outside to smoke. The food was good - plenty of choice for both breakfast and evening meal - carvery as well as other choices e.g. curry/rice/noodles/fish/chips, plus a good choice of starters and desserts, and cheese and biscuits and tea and coffee - full English breakfast plus all the usual choices e.g. fruit/yoghurt/cereals/croissants/toast. Restuarants were busy - you need to book your evening meal table when you arrive but this is clearly explained when you check in - there was a notice board advising of the full weekend details, including where the 99p bars were, and how to book your dinners. There are two restuarants to choose from - both serving the same food.
The Health club is great - lovely pool, sauna, jacuzzi and steam room - our friends used the gym and said that was good too.
The evening entertainment was cheesy - but good fun - only criticism would be the room layout and the bright lights - room was set out like a conference - rows and rows of chairs and not a table in sight - would have been better set out like a pub lounge, with the lights dimmed to create an atmosphere! Mind you we had booked on a 40+ weekend, we were all in our 40's - but we were by far the youngest - so maybe the oldies needed bright lights to guide their way!
The 99p bar was great - we were expecting to get stung on the mixers but a 'dash' of coke in your vodka was just 30p and a bottle of OJ just 99p - two pints to choose from, all the spirits and red/white wine - our round of four drinks was always £5.25 - excellent!
Overall a great weekend, good value for money, friendly and helpful staff (apart from one moody madam behind the bar - but there's always one), lovely hotel (a little rough around the edges but clean and warm, comfy beds), great grounds and lovely Health club! I'd definately go again!

My title says it all, this was suppose to be a carry on from new year, well the only thing they got right wos the carry on because thats what it was, the 1st night's entertainment was a comedian for just over an hour, and the second night was a lady singer...and that was it that was our new years eve carry on....well brittania you need to get a grip of your entertainment scedule, in fact next time you want a comedian i'll do the 250 mile round trip again and tell all your guests about the time i stayed at bosworth hall for one of your party w/ends and stayed in one of your decaying rooms......thanx again
