The hotel is based on the old country house with interesting grounds well worth exploring. The room was large and clean, though the furnishings were a little "tired" Masses of hot water at all times. We arrived very early after a long journey and were pleasantly surprised to be given our room at 11am. Our party of 40 plus were given a private dining room and another room for a meeting. Everyone was very helpful and polite especially the young waiting staff both morning and evening. An enjoyable 3 days inspite of appalling weather. Plenty of parking space always a bonus.

Room Tip: Rooms on the "single number" corridor have good ground floor views. It is easy to get lost...

Booked a National weekend break holiday, not for the first time I might add. This was definitely value for money, good Hotel with good food and facilities. Clean and tidy bedrooms with helpful staff. Stratford was well worth the visit, well done National another good weekend away.

I recently stopped at the hotel for my boyfriends birthday, we was very impressed with the spindles beauty therapist, they gave use brillaint treatments and they work very hard! the salon was really clean and professonial, the only downfall we felt that the spindels manager didnt have a clue what she was doing and wasnt very helpful at all. She was more intrested in hiding behind the computer. I personally think the girls are really hard working and do excellent at there jobs!

After reading the reviews on the hotel and expecting the worst, both myself and my wife were nicely surprised by the great night stay we had at the hotel. We used the leisure facilities that were of a good standard and had a lovely evening meal in the a la carte restaurant. The bedroom was clean and the bed very comfortable. Breakfast the following morning was great. The hotel is very grand with much history. In places it does require some renovation but I have no complaints about our stay.

Room Tip: WE had a room overlooking the back, near the health club.

I got married at Bosworth Hall 10 years ago and it was a fabulous experience so i was really excited to go back for an overnight stay with 3 friends. Unfortunately things have changed drastically over the last 10 years and i can't believe it it the same hotel and i feel my lovely memories of a lovely hotel and wedding are tarnished by what happened.

On arrival we went into the wrong entrance and an employee let us come all the way in before telling us this and sending us round (insisting we couldn't get through that way without going round all the rooms- not actually true). We checked in and were given rooms 143 and 151. I was in 143 and it was dated and tired and very small. You couldn't even shut the door in the bathroom if you stand at the sink. Even monior details like cheap teabags that left tea leaves in the bottom of the cup added to the feel that this was a cheap hotel.

We booked for dinner in the Compton Restaurant which being a beautiful room left me thinking it would be a beautiful experience. Unfortunately we were given cold and burnt starters and then a main course which should have been Pork Medallions but looked like cheap cuts stewed in a sauce. It was served with rice which was cold and when asked for hot rice was actually just put in a microwave and nuked (Food Hygiene regulations set out that rice shouldn't be reheated as can be dangerous). There were also plain boiled potatoes which the waitress insisted were herby as the menu described (they weren't) and i had chips instead that when they arrived 5 minutes after the rest of the food had obviously been refried left overs from the night before. We left the dinner as it was that bad.

We asked to speak to a manger (Dean) and this turned out to be the man who had been rude to us on arrival. He did however listen to our concerns and try to appease us. We then ordered dessert which when served came with a hair on one piece of Tiramisu and the 4 cups of tea we ordered came with dirty cups and again cheap tea bags which left tea leaves.

Could it get any worse? Unfortunately yes. At breakfast we went to Jenny's restaurant which had dirty pots piled out side it. Despite there being empty tables we were asked to wait in the bar and then 10 minutes later had "Room 143" yelled at us. A bit like being in a canteen and not a nice hotel really. The breakfast buffet was dirty and the food wasn't labelled. Pots were piled up on the tables and a waitress was wheeling a trolley around collecting them as we sat there. We then decided to check Trip Advisor- i hadn't thought of doing before as i thought of Bosworth Hall as a luxury hotel. Previous guests had written some pretty damning reviews mentioning many of the problems we encountered- this shows that the management are not listening to customers concerns as nothing has changed.

We spoke to the duty Manager Kim who was again very apologetic and along with Mark in the restaurant the only really good members of staff we encountered.

Groupon deemed this to be a 4* hotel which is laughable. Obviously there were too many guests for them to handle but this is going to have a hugely negative effect on the hotel as i for one will advise against anyone from using it for a wedding or just a stay now.

I emailed customer services- no response. I emailed the new General Manager (they have been without one for 6 months) and she finally got back to me to offer that if i booked again (at the full price she would upgrade our room and give us £30 towards dinner). I'm glad she replied but think she seriously under estimated how bad the whole experience was- i wouldn't give the hotel another pound based on what happened.

All i can hope is that they actually take some of the complaints on board and restore Bosworth Hall to the lovely place it was 10 years ago.

Room Tip: Don't get 143! Our friends had 151 and that was nicer.

Where do I begin? My fiance & I stayed here at end of Feb - the first break we have had for 2 years. The room allocated to us had no window, just a very dirty skylight with no shade to it and no means of opening it. There was no hot water, and phone didnt work to report it so had to make a trip to reception to do so. Maintenance was sent who advised it was 'due to demand' but this meant everyone else was having the same problem. We were given another room, but this was shabby & not terribly clean. The food was unimaginative we had same starter each night - pate which was drying at the edges, rollmops (which we thought was a very strange choice), salad & soup. 2 nights we had to wait 15+ mins for rolls to be cooked as they ran out - this was in the middle of the dinner time as well, not at the end. There were a lot of other niggling things, too numerous to mention but overall produding a disappointing weekend. Will not be staying at a Britannia Hotel again.

Room Tip: I don't think they have any good rooms!

My husband & I stayed at Bosworth Hall Hotel on a Groupon deal Mid-February 2013. Our first impressions weren't brilliant, after it feeling like a mission to book the date in the first place. On arrival it was apparent that the Groupon-Guests were being divided from the 'normals', from being placed on separate lists for dinner etc.
Our room (we paid an additional supplement for an upgrade) was shabby and tired. The bathroom was moldy and, although spotlessly clean, everywhere looked as though it needed a good touch-up.
The leisure facilities were disappointing, the pool was small and overcrowded, and surrounding areas a bit dirty looking to be honest. The bar area looked inviting though, and we fancied coming back over for a drink & a game of pool after our meal. So, we asked the only girl member of staff what time it closed. Her response was "I honestly have no idea" - she didn't make any effort to find out, just went back to reading her magazine. Awesome.
The main bar area had a really horrible sewagey/drainy smell about it, which was quite off putting.
On a plus-point, our evening meal was lovely. I had prawn cocktail and beef sunday dinner, and my husband had soup and steak which was gorgeous. We also ordered a house rose, which wasn't too bad at all.
Much the same as other reviews, we were really disappointed by the breakfast buffet. It was all you can eat, but we both only had one serving, and barely managed to eat that (which says a LOT for me and the hubby!!). The food really wasn't great unfortunately.
Overall, for the money that we paid on the Groupon deal, it was a poor to average stay. If we were to pay full price... well, I would have refused! Can't say we will be returning in a hurry.
