This lovely old pub has had a much needed facelift and now looks gorgeous. The atmosphere is relaxed and grown-up. But the real attraction is the food, locally sourced, rare breed beef perfectly cooked. We had 30oz Aberdeen angus rump to share and it was fantastic. The veg was lovely too. There is plenty for people who don't eat meat to choose from on the menu but the focus is very much on steaks. I had the sauvignon and my husband had a merlot both were very good. We are very lucky that Dan Anderson has taken on our local and turned it into a destination place to eat.

Over the last 12 month the poor Bulls Head pub has seen a change of management 4 times and upon each occasion the property, food and service took a downward turn, so I'm delighted to see that Andersons have taken over the management of the venue, about time Marstons!
Over the last 6 months they have painstakingly renovated and refurbished the property, menu and staff, so if as much time, effort, commitment and detail is afforded the service and quality of produce I'd suggest we have some serious competition to the other local and established fine dining pubs / restaurants such as The Crab Mill, Kings Head and The Boot (all fabulous too I must confess).
Wishing The Bulls Head every success and a full bookings diary for the future.
