“stayed here as a suprise- mixed emotions about this one”
Reviewed March 28, 2014

my partner planned a suprise trip here last week so he could propose to me. the grounds and building itself are absolutely stunning. staff were very friendly especially in the lobby bar, going out of their way to talk to you.
our room was upgraded for free because it was a special occasion. on entering the room there was a huge boquet of flowers and chocolates which was a nice touch.
The roman style swimming pool and jaquzzi was amazing. a decent size, i didnt want to get out!

we had a meal in the resturant which was lovley.started main and sweet wer each delicious and cooked to a very high standard. when my partner finally got the courage to propose, we were given a free bottle of champagne after our meal and any staff we spoke to congratulated us and seemed to take a general interest in us which was really nice.

the only bad points were that the shower was freezing cold and there was a loose light fixture in the ceiling righ abouve the shower. also at arounf 2am we had to move rooms to a different block because there was an overwhelming smell of rotten egg!

we reported it to the night porter and was moved to a different room immediatly and even given a free drink.
we requested an early morning wake up call but this wasnt done either.
i reported it to the resturant manager upon checkout the next day and was assured once hed spoken to the main hotel manager he would email us back with a responce. this still hasnt been done.
overall its a lovely place and the staff are fantastic. its just those few things that ruined it for us- especially having to move rooms. i would reccommend this place, i was considering having my wedding here but not so sure now.

Room Tip: the room we stayed in had a very very creaky floor and was not straight everything was on a slant. i...

Okay we were on an Internet-sourced package so our expectations weren't high but the staff at this hotel really go the extra mile to make you feel welcome even though they know you've not paid top dollar. We were there to celebrate my daughter's birthday (22nd) and although we didn't make a big thing of this somehow the staff picked it up and, totally unbidden, they presented us with complimentary glasses of bubbly at dinner and a 'Happy Birthday' chocolate plate with our coffee.
Little touches that made so much difference.
The rooms are fine - recently refurbished we think - and with top quality cotton linens. Tea, coffee tray in the room with 'special' biscuits. The English breakfast was excellent. If you're reading this at Nailcote Hall it would have been even better if you served breakfast until 10 am - even midweek.
There's a spa and swimming pool - free to guests - and a pretty 9 hole par 3 golf course that I would have liked to have tried.
It turned out to be a real birthday treat - thanks to the impressive staff.

Room Tip: If they've got an event on in the Marquee (which they didn't while we were there) I suggest...

My new wife and I got married at the Nailcote Hall on Sunday. The whole day was Fantastic, the weather was beautiful which made the venue evening more stunning, everything was perfect for us. Jack was the member of staff who took care of us and our guests for the day and he was brilliant, he went well above the call of duty for us, he was even chasing around after our 3 year old on the golf course whilst we were having photos taken in the gorgeous grounds. The atmosphere was perfect, the lighting and the vibe inside for our evening reception was as cool as any trendy bar or club. All our guests are buzzing about what a great day and night they had and so are we!! Thankyou very much to all the staff that helped our day go so perfect, especially Jack, Michelle, Terri-Ann and Jess

They welcomed us and made us very welcome whilst attending a friends wedding. Nice spacious room (27) but very warm. Great breakfast and bar snacks. Lovely soft and comfortable beds.

Quite surprised that allowed dogs to stay during Crufts week? I would hate to have to stay in one of those rooms after a dog had slept in it?

Room Tip: We stayed in room 27 in the annex

We stayed at the hotel for the second time and as last time the staff were happy to help making it a pleasant stay. We eat at night at the hotel, food and service was first class.
The only disappointing thing was our room was not in main part of hotel, our room was in the same building with leisure/pool facilities. The room was lovely no view but to eat at hotel had walk outside, it was cold and raining.
Golf course looks great it was too wet to play maybe next time.

As a family we recently had to live in this hotel after our house flooded. We stayed in the hotel for nearly a month, all of the staff without exception were very friendly and completely understanding of our situation.
The food and service were excellent and we thoroughly enjoyed all of the facilities, my 7 year old and i even played the par 3 course a few times and had a brilliant time. No wonder it is the host to the British par 3 Championship.

We booked a two night stay at Nailcote Hall Hotel in February. The building itself is lovely - very traditional with log fire in the restaurant.
The room was lovely and comfortable with all the facilities you would expect.
Breakfast was a continental style buffet as well as a freshly cooked breakfast which could be tailored to your preferences; it was delicious.
We also ate in the restaurant on both evenings as they offer a very reasonable 3 courses for just under £30 and the quality of the food was excellent. Stand out dish for me was a prune and Armagnac soufflé with earl grey flavour ice cream - delicious!
The staff we incredibly friendly and helpful in all areas: restaurant, front desk, bar, room service staff.
The hotel is also a great base for lots of local attractions: we visited Stratford upon Avon (30 mins) and Kenilworth (15 mins) but you could also visit Birmingham or Coventry.
We did not have chance to play the excellent par 3 golf course but we are hoping to return in the future to do so. There are some great golfing packages available.
Thanks for a lovely stay.
