“RIP Dame Dotty and Tommy”
Reviewed December 27, 2013

The little panto with the big heart has sadly lost its heart with the retirement of Dame Dotty and Tommy.
The Geordie Shoreesque sisters grated and just fell short of lewd.
Will sadly be our last year at the panto after many years of following Dame Dotty andTommy in their hilarious annual panto performance.

“Nice place.”
Reviewed December 12, 2013

This relatively small venue puts on a variety of shows and screens a limited amount of current films (it is not one of these huge multi screen complexes). They manage to keep their prices reasonable and the seating is spacious and comfortable. There is a bar and restaurant, I cannot comment on the quality of the food and drink but it always looks well used. I live about five miles from the Customs House and if a film is on that I and my family want to see this our venue of choice. It is easily accessible by public transport and it has good car parking.

“Top theatre, great restaurant!”
Reviewed September 22, 2013

Second visit to the Customs House in a week. First was for a brilliant party to mark the retirement of the legend that was Tommy the Trumpeter. Second trip was not quite so glamorous, but equally enjoyable - Sunday lunch. Lovely food, huge portions, great surroundings and perfect service!

You can watch a show here now, have a meal in the restaurant and watch the traffic on the River Tyne go by
