Recently visited the Museum with a friend who doesnt live local. We were both very impressed with the range of things to see from the past. The Catherine Cookson Area is def worth alook. They've a gift shop in the entrance with a good selection of goodies and an old fashioned style cafe where we enjoyed a nice cuppa and slice of cake. Also toilets available and an open lift for prams and wheelchairs. Worth alook as its free admission
