Firstly I would like to say that the facility as been taken over since the only other review on here so you can discount what they had to say.
We booked a lesson fo 3 boys ages 9-13. The first communication was with Alison who was nothing short of professional, informative, knowledgable, friendly and welcoming. Alison advised us on the best lesson, gear required etc.
On arrival it turned out our son's mountain board had been put together incorrectly, the boys immediately dismantled it and put it back together correctly, only then to find out it had a slow puncture, which they also mended - at no cost all in time for his lesson. You don't get service like that anymore !!
The lesson was fabulous, the 3 boys had 1 instructor who taught them the basics in the 1 hour slot and all boys did brilliantly. They were then left to their own devices (with us present) to practise what they had learnt. The guy who had taught them was available for advice which was reassuring. Other facility users were so friendly offer encouragment and telling our boys they were doing well and how they could adapt moves to make it easier etc.
The surroundings are gorgeous and it was a pleasure to hang around some green hills with stunning scenery rather than a concrete skate park for a change !
We will certainly be back and from what the new owners (one of them has worked there for 13 years so knows all there is to know!) say they have lots of new and exciting plans for Ride the Hill an we can't wait to be part of it.
- Dogs are allowed but must be kept on leads.
- A few lockers are available
- Hot drinks are available and snacks such as chocolate & crisps
- No indoor seating so dress warm ! You won't want to miss what is going on up the slopes anyway!
