We were staying at this hotel for a friends 30th, and were staying on the Sunday Night Offer. The offer itself was great with champagne, canapes, dinner and breakfast included.

Arriving at the hotel it is very grand. We arrived very early, and were in the midst of all the guests checking out. The checkin/out area is very small and so it could become very cramped. Terrance (Reception manager) spotted us, and we explained we knew we were early, but that the rest of the party were due soon and wanted to spend the day in the spa. He said it was probably a bit busy at the moment, but we were welcome to go the spa. As it happens it suddenly quietened down, and we were able to do the registration. Terrance, also organised a taxi for myself whislt my wife went to meet the others at the spa. From the moment we arrived, there was a real top notch service...something that was not to disappear over the whole evening.

Our rooms were ready late afternoon, which was fine as I only got back from the football late and the others were relaxing in the spa. I can not comment on the facitlities of the spa as I did not use them, but my wife did say she had definately seen better. For somewhere that is meant to be relaxing, having kids running around does not help. We were shown to, what I assume, is a standard room and this was perfectly adequate. It was very nicely decorated, and was a decent size. However, the air conditioning was not working. We tried various things to get it to work but it just would not. I popped to reception and spoke to Chris, who was very prompt in coming to the room. He explained that as it was a Sunday there was no maintenance staff, and we would need to move to another room. We were very kindly upgraded to the Shelly Sweet, which was absolutely devine. Also a special mention to the reception team, as they very kindly upgraded the Brithday girl and her husband to the "honeymoon" sweet. We did discover in the morning, that in fact no ones air conditioning had been working, and they had slept in sweat boxes.

As it was a birthday, we had a private dining area to ourselves. Pavel deserves all the praise in the world, as he was exceptionally good at looking after us. Glasses were never empty and he made sure that everything ran smoothly. the only reason for not giving a full 5* is I did not think the food was all that great. There were certain elements that were lovely (the roast pork belly), but others that were just ok (the ceasar salad and one leaf).

We had a wonderful evening here and would return. The Service is what makes this place, so please never lose that.

Took my sister in law for a spa day. Couldn't fault it. The service was excellent. Staff were friendly and professional, treatments were superb and the afternoon tea was to die for. Facilities include an excellent gym swimming pool, jacuzzi. A lovely relaxing way to spend a chilled day. Would definitely recommend it

I took my best friend for the spa day & night package, outstanding value!
You couldn't ask for anything more to make the whole day & night perfect
The staff have been trained to the highest quality from the Spa to the Dinning area
The reception manager Terrance is outstanding
The professionalism of staff throughout I cant express enough how impressed I was - how this hotel is not yet rated 5***** I don't know.
The personal touches of the changing room locker with you name on it to lunch at the spa with your welcome name again on your table - these little touches really make you real special
If your looking for a great deal with 5 star service this is the place to book - well done takes a lot to impress me - Mrs M O'Brien

Arrived at Nutfield Priory Hotel to the perfect reception, the staff were helpful, polite, and full of knowledge, as far as the staff were concerned nothing but nothing was too much trouble, the room was out of this world, the spa was amazing, the restaurant was great and the food in the restaurant was, well, if royalty ate there, they would be extremely happy, even when we ordered a sandwich at the bar and we got a virtual three course meal.
My wife is in a wheel chair and she was cared for as though she was the owner of the hotel, all in all the best hotel stay we've ever had...by far.

Room Tip: We had the Wordsworth room, it's the largest most beautiful room I have ever seen.

I would recommend this hotel for a relaxing break. We stayed on Monday night and received good reductions on the spa treatments which were great. Our meal was part of the deal and the food was lovely. I agree drinks were rather pricey. Service was faultless across the hotel.

Room Tip: book spa treatments early because the spa is very popuar

Lovely place, the grounds, halls, surroundings lovely. Service was exceptional. Rooms were nice but small, the food was OK but expensive and the drinks were very expensive... for a burger, bottle of house wine and a vodka my bill was £50 - £7 for a vodka is excessive even in the south! I would certainly stay there again but would eat in the village.

Many thanks for your review.

It is kind of you to highlight the high level of service offered throughout your stay with us. It is wonderful to know that based on this you will return again. Please do contact me directly regarding your point on the prices so I can check directly against the order - we do believe our prices are set in accordance with the 4 star country house hotel market, as well as in tandem with the service and setting, but based on the figures you have mentioned I would need to double check your particular charges.

Thank you so much for your time and we look forward to welcoming you back soon.
