Description: Situated adjacent to Nutfield Cricket pitch with fantastic views over Nutfield Marshes, The Inn on the Pond is a quintessental English Surrey country pub. The Inn on the Pond, as a traditional pub, offers a large bar area for drinking as well as a separate dining room and bar dining area. A log burner and open fireplace create a cosy pub atmosphere on winters days. The team in the kitchen create good pub menus of freshly cooked and locally sourced food which is served both indoors and outside by the pond. We are open for lunch and dinner througout the week, and all day on Sundays and Bank Holiday Mondays. As the Inn is situated on the main cycle routes near Redhill and ajacent to the Nutfield Marshes Conservation area it is also popular with walkers and cyclists - both of whom are welcome. In fact we have our own wellie wall! There is a large car park to the side of the pub. Your host is Penny Appel and she and her team look forward to welcoming you.

“Relaxing lunch and good food too!”
Reviewed April 12, 2013 via mobile

This was my third visit, I have gone now once with family, once with friends and now a trip with colleagues I work with in the area. A pleasant ambience, good and fresh food, catered well for my Gluten Free needs, good and friendly service. Our meals seemed to take longer than others and the waiter kindly deducted the price of our coffees as a good will gesture. I will return.

“Nice atmosphere, good food”
Reviewed April 8, 2013

We were staying at nearby Nutfield Priory and fancied going out to eat somewhere local but not Redhill. Was fairly quiet when we went in, but really for busy as the evening progressed. Service was good but got the feeling could have done with another member of staff as the girl who served us seemed to be running around trying to serve in both parts of the restaurant as well as serving at the bar! Food was good - I think the menu was more limited that normal as it was a Sunday menu, but still had plenty of choice for a fussy eater :-) would definitely go back some time.

Thank you for your kind review of The Inn on the Pond. You are correct, we do run a reduced menu on a Sunday along with a choice of roast dishes. I will pass your comments onto the team involved and hope that we can welcome you again next time you are in the area.

“A find thanks to Tripadvisor "nearby"”
Reviewed April 7, 2013

We had some difficulty finding this hostlery which we had identified "nearby" when on the M25 - our SatNav quickly sorted us out. The location was blissfully sunny and many customers were able to eat at the many outside tables. The pub is divided into two halves - the restaurant at the rear and the bar at the front. We preferred the intimate bar area. The staff are immaculate and attentive and our homemade leek & potato soup with crusty bread(£4.95) and chargrilled chicken caesar salad with parmesan & croutons (dressing contains anchovies, £10.75), arrived swiftly and both were imaginatively presented. The salad boasted almost half a chicken which is generous when compared with many similar offerings. We were quickly on our way but would certainly stop here again in the future.

“Good customer service, good menu.”
Reviewed April 5, 2013

Paid a lunchtime visit to the Inn On The Pond as we were house hunting in the area and had heard positive things about the pub. Lovely area and it was nice and warm inside with log fires and a cosy bar area. We ordered some lunch and thought the menu to be very good with some unusual dishes that you don't see too often on other pub menus. Good variety and hearty foods. Unfortunately my companion's food order came along and was incorrect, no big deal, mistakes happen but the waitresses and landlady were both very apologetic and the correct order was then speedily delivered to the table. When the bill arrived the cost of my companion's meal had been deducted as a goodwill gesture. It hadn't mattered to us and we would have happily paid as we enjoyed the food but we appreciated the gesture, excellent customer service skills guys. Would definitely return to the Inn On the Pond.

“Great food”
Reviewed March 19, 2013

I have been here on number of occasions as it's local & have had an excellent meal every time.
My husband can be a bit fussy but he was spoilt for choice with the menu as there were so many things we would have liked to have tried.
Service was excellent. Can be a little pricey although you get what you pay for.
