This a very small restaurant and if you arrive early (6.30pm on a Saturday night like we did) it's a bit disconcerting when the place is empty. However, stick with it for great food and by 9pm the place is packed. Unlike previous reviews (which nearly put us off) we had great service.

We recently went to Thai on Thames for a company dinner. With 25 of us we needed the entire restaurant for which the owner was very accomadating. We went for set menu 4b which was brilliant. The food quality was fantastic and the portion sizes were more than enough. The staff were also very attentive bring the more food is needed and ensuring no one had an empty glass. I can highly reccomend Thai on Thames for any business dinner as well as any other occassion. Thanks for a great night!

I recently went to Thai on Thames due to my love of Asian cuisine. It was a cosy restaurant that seats around 30 people but it was spaced out well so you felt you had privacy from the other customers. The decor is pretty and there was music playing a low volume which was a nice touch. The staff were really polite and friendly and the food was delicious. Great value for money, I had the 3 course set menu which included a starter of chicken and peanut sauce, a main of green chicken curry and a dessert of banana split, the portion were just right and it all tasted great all for just £10.95. I would recommend here for casual dining as well as dates.

Thats the shop and not the country.
Went here Saturday 16th Feb, Which was based on reviews we had read and was so looking forward to it, But was left very dissapointed.
Im sorry to say as the reviews are so wrong, as we go to restaurants every weekend and this is by far one of the worst we have been too.
We ordered starters and main course, which was the mixed starter and spare ribs priced at £12.95 and £4.50.
The starter was luke warm apart from the vegetable spring rolls and duck rolls. The spring roll was no bigger than the diameter of a pencil and as for the duck roll which if it is duck then im Donald Duck. Terrible taste.
Then there was a prawn in batter which was reformed. The satay chicken was also of poor quality and tasteless. The fish cake was rubbery. Spare ribs were ok, but nothing to rave about.
We left most of the starter and decided to cancel the main course due to how poor the starters were.
The member of staff made no attempt to ask us why, so i had to tell her our reasons.
So we got the bill and left hungry and went to the turkish restaurant which we go to alot as we know the staff. Food there is always lovely.
Maybe the other people who have rated this Thai restaurant didnt have starters. So we will never know if the main course would have been any good.
All in all, the food was of cheap quality, and the pictures of the food on there website doesnt look like anything thats served in front of you.
Go to Nakonthai if you want proper food.
