Pretty good food when we went, nice helpful english staff bit of a walk for us but much better than our local the waggon and horses in surbiton where the food is inedible.

We have previously reviewed this restaurant. We again went to lunch and had the roast chicken and roast beef. The portions are very good and certainly present good value for money. The food was very well cooked and presented. The wine list remains short and economical. As on our previous visit it was extremely busy and it was noticeable that many tables had been reserved. The service was very good being prompt, polite, pleasant and friendly.

We recommend the Albert Arms.

TIP: you should make a reservation at weekends when it is very busy.

Lived across the street when I was a student at the hospital. Ate here 3-4 times a week. Loved the staff, the food, the free wi-fi. The pub staples, like fish &chips, bangers, Sunday roast, etc., were excellent, but they also had grilled salmon, daily specials, and a bread and butter pudding that nearly made me fall over, it was so good. I can't wait to get back again.

Manages to feel like an independent gastro-pub whilst being part of the Young's chain.

So much better since a refurbishment a year or two ago, and now has a little outside terrace that use to good effect- christmas movies with a mulled wine anyone?

Decent selection of drinks, but the food can be a bit hit and miss. Thats when you realise its a chain as there's very little flexibility and you realise very little is probably made on site.

A good pub- not a great restaurant
