Was looking forward to the evening for some time although only booked at the last minute. The service was very good. Food mixed bag really, what was presented did not really meet expectations from a limited menu, starters goats cheese salad with minuscule cold lumps of cheese on 4 maybe 5 leaves of salad, Sardines on a tomato toast, missed a trick grill them properly so they looked cooked. best starter was the scotch egg. Main was fine and Desserts were OK, but not THE CHEESEBOARD £7.50 for 4/5 tiny bits of cheese. In reflection it was an expensive meal quite nicely presented but you sort of felt cheated by small portions throughout. It is early days and I wish you well, it will take some positive reviews to make me think about going back. .
