“Great Day Out”
Reviewed May 9, 2014

This was actually a school trip with years 7, 8 and 9 from a Special Needs School. The venue was very calm and quiet and we were able to enjoy watching the pelicans and penguins feed. There was also an enclosed talk where we all sat and watched Noddy, the clever parrot, and Whisper the beautiful owl. There was a 'hands on' experience with a rat, chinchilla, tortoise and snake. There was also a walk-in enclosure where we could walk amongst the budgies, and zebra finches. There were ample picnic tables to eat our lunch and there was also an undercover area to eat should it have rained. We had a set time to keep to so were unable to visit the other attractions. It is also a lovely place to visit with pre-school children, so ideally quiet during term time.

“Overpriced, restaurant is terrible”
Reviewed May 6, 2014

The park itself is just ok, not fantastic when you consider the price tag. Overall the place needs updating, that said it was clean. Underwater world was very dissapointing. The restaurant was by far the worst part, even my children complained about the meal. Wont be going back in a hurry thats for sure.

“Overpriced for what it is”
Reviewed May 5, 2014 via mobile

Nice couple of hours at birdworld. It could maybe do with a bit of updating here & there. I would have been unhappy if I had paid full price for entrance, so I'd suggest to anyone visiting to get a buy one get one free voucher on-line first.

“A lovely day out”
Reviewed April 28, 2014

We visited here when staying in Hampshire, being a bird lover. We had no children with us and we found the place absolutely fascinating.

Most of the enclosures we felt were very well kept, but some had us scratching our heads a bit. Certainly, in the Underwater section, some of the tanks could have been cleaner as you couldn't see through the water to see the attraction.

Particularly impressive was the budgie aviary. It is a lovely environment for them, and they all looked so happy and healthy.

There was an unusual bird display - usually they are birds of prey, but these were different birds and pretty impressive.

It was a lovely day, despite it raining frequently, there were plenty of places to duck for cover. Would recommend for adults and children.
