I really enjoyed my time spent at Bird world but it could have been better. After paying over £30 for two adults to get in it started to rain..... There are no provisions for if it rains no brollies to borrow we were expected to pay another £7 each to buy a brolly .... The rain was pretty much set in for the day so in between big downpours we braved the park. The birds were very interesting and looked well cared for which is more than can be said for a few of the staff who looked very scruffy in half a uniform. The talks on the animals and the flying displays were excellent and the staff seemed to really know there stuff. The aquarium was interesting with some really different types of fish in there shame the tanks were so dirty.

The toilets were err......cleanish and the lights go out before You've had a chance for a wee but they were usable.

I think with a little bit of attention to detail and some smartening up this could become a great attraction.

Many thanks for your feedback. We were pleased to hear that you enjoyed your day at Birdworld.

Without a doubt, Birdworld is more enjoyable on a sunny day and although on wet days we are unable to furnish every visitor with an umbrella, we do have a plentiful supply of Ponchos for £1.50 or umbrellas from £4.99 for visitors who don’t have not brought a coat.

With regard to the aquarium I am pleased to say that we have no dirty tanks. On occasions the silt gets stirred up from fish activity (the Piranhas for example quite often do this) but this should not be perceived as a dirty exhibit. Tank glass is cleaned daily.

Two of our main toilet blocks have light sensors as we aim to be environmentally friendly wherever possible. On occasions the switch has been tampered with resulting with the period of light being reduced. We will recheck all of them further to your feedback as we would never want anyone to be left in the dark. The toilets are all cleaned and checked regularly. As with any public facilities, not everyone leaves them as they found them- my apologies if they were not 100% when you used them.

Thanks once again for taking the time to leave your feedback and I do hope that you are able to visit us again when the weather is nicer.

We detoured off the M3 traveling to Southampton and stopped at Birdworld. It is a wonderful bird park with many interesting species in a lovely setting. While we arrived close to closing, the staff was very gracious and accommodating, and pointed out how to get the most from our brief visit. There is a lot to see and well worth taking the time to visit.

Had a lovely day here with family members. Everyone got something out of it and it is on a sufficient scale that you can see everything. The birds are lovely and a good mix of exotic and less exotic. The farm section was excellent - the children spent a long time petting very tame rabbit and guinea pigs - and holding mice! There is really good play equipment for all ages. We didn't eat in the cafe but there were lots of picnicking spots.
