I have not had a bad meal as this in a very long time. The food was terrible and the staff incredibly rude.

Good food, excellent service, the only down side was having to listen to the manager swear at a member of staff, which left an unfortunate end to a good evening.

Sat 16th for early evening meal.
Soggy battered fish, chopped petit pois (so called mushy peas) and frozen reconstituted chips.
West Country sirloin steak (served cold) rather horrid pepper sauce and, yes , frozen reconstituted chips.
Very overpriced and very poor food.
This used to be a must visit restaurant

This restaurant has definitely been crossed off my list of restaurants to visit

Not your traditional Sunday lunch, but good service and never rushed. I've never had a disappointing meal here. Their twice cooked chips are to die for.

Early table and whilst empty, the service was brisk and effective. As soon as the tables started to fill, service became slow and intermittent. Worse, the spaghetti pasta dish with clams arrived with a dry palor over the surface, a sure sign that it had been sitting around prior to service. The cream sauce saved it - just. The squid was dry and discoloured, again signs of sitting around for a while. By 7.30 it was busy and the coffee took so long that a trip to Columbia to collect the beans had clearly been undertaken. A farce with the chip and pin machine when settling the bill ( which arrived remarkably quickly) sealed the evening. The apparently defective card worked perfectly in a petrol station ten minutes later. Oh, I forgot, the prawn cocktail was poor for a fish restaurant - like a Berni Inn 20 years ago.... So tiny and watery were the prawns. Sad.
