Mae Ping is an excellent and authentic Thai restaurant close to the station in Epsom. Its staff are all native and really respond to a greeting in their language "See wot dee, krap/ka (to man/woman)".
Particularly good is the Sunday served buffet: you order what you want in phases and they bring it to your table in good time. You can eat as much as you like but Thai food, although looking very delicate, can be very fillilng so think first!.
I would recomment the plate of starters which has the full selection on offer, and the beef and curry dishes are a real delight. At about £15 any time Sunday this is very good value in very pleasant environment.

This is just across the road from Epsom Station and well worth a visit. As Thai food goes this is really quite nice. The Sunday a la carte banquet is exceptional value.Lots of dishes individualy served portions. There is a good selection and you can keep ordering till your full. Rice and noodles for the banquet menu are there for self service. We tried several of the dishes covering about half the menu. Some were good some were exceptional. My wife and friends loved the Massaman curry and Pad Thai but I found them a little sweet, though thats just a personal taste. They will spice up or calm down any dish to your personal heat preference. The beer is a bit expensive as it is in small bottles , no large or draft choice, however the wine list is very well priced and has a fair selection including Thai wine. The service is very good . Definate return for us for the Sunday Banquet.

This is one of the nicest restaruants in Epsom. The decor, service, staff, and FOOD are all wonderful. Food is fresh, tastes of what it should and is cooked to perfection. The prawn crackers are nothing like you would get in a chinese restaurant. The price is reasonable and you don't have that really full and boated feeling afterward. We thouroughly enjoyed our visit and will definitely be back with friends and family.

I find Mae Ping slightly on the expensive side except for the Sunday a la carte buffet which is absolutely fantastic. For £13.95 you get to order as many dishes from a special a la carte menu which is very good value for money. The menu is varied, with also many vegetarian options.

A very friendly Thai restaurant. Although full service was very good. Good atmosphere. Wide menu selection. Westernized Thai food. Some dishes were good others OK. All dishes well freshly prepared and hot.
