A clean and comfortable family stay close to Chessington, with a good selection for breakfast. If I was being really picky all I would say is more of a selection of teas/coffees in the room as we were a family of 4 with only 2 coffees sachets on offer. Also may daughter struggled to do her hair as the power point is not next to the mirrors and the hair dryer was not very powerful. But a great location and would stay again,

As the title says we stayed for one night while visiting family and to be fair there isn't much other choice in the area. The staff were excellent on check in, the room was fairly standard and a little tired in places, stained upholstery etc on sofa bed and on chairs in lounge area but it is clean and bright.
For £60 a night I compare it to the Premier Inn bracket and the room wasn't as good a standard as theirs but it was fine for the purpose. Comfortable bed, nice bathroom.
Drinks expensive in the bar 2 wine and 2 beer £21
Breakfast was included in the price and was simple but adequate. Serve yourself toast, bacon, sausage, cereals etc
All in all it served its purpose at a fair price and the staff were very nice

My wife and I have just spent an enjoyable 2 nights at this hotel. The room was quiet, immaculately clean and beautifully decorated. My only criticism (and this applies to most UK hotels) is that the beds are too small. We were in a twin room and the beds were only about 3 feet wide. There was plenty of space in the room for a couple of 4 foot beds. Also, why such a tiny television? Not a problem for us as we do not watch TV, even at home, but many people would be disappointed.

My only real criticism, however, is with the breakfast. The scrambled egg was one of the most disgusting things I have ever attempted to eat! Why does this hotel not use free range eggs? Surely, by now, everyone is aware of the appalling cruelty inflicted on battery hens. Serving eggs other than free range in any hotel or restaurant is totally unforgivable.

Only a short drive from Chessington. We booked this hotel late after deciding to stay for an extra day at Chessington Theme park. The hotel was very modern and clean. The family room was decorated to a very high standard and with ample room for us and our two children aged 8 and 6 years. The menu was quite expensive however, as an alternative option, the restaurant opposite (The rubbing House), a short walk along the Epsom race track, offered excellent food at very good prices (we had our best meal here). The breakfast in the hotel was self service with beans, egg and sausage on offer for hot although there were cereals, yoghurt's and fruit also on offer. We found this a very pleasant and relaxed venue for the one night we stayed however long term stayers may find children getting bored as there is not much else around.

Oh dear. All some of us need is a decent soak, proper TV and a good breakfast. Compared with a Travel lodge or Days not really good value even booked at best advance rate.
TV poor. NO Wifi in rooms. Breakfast a shocker. The grim faces of the other couples said it all.
The shower as effective as a chocolate teapot. The bed was comfortable.

Room Tip: Go elsewhere

The hotel was clean and tidy, with modern facilities. The breakfast area seems like more of an after thought than a well established area but that is a consequence of not having a real restaurant on site.
The check-in staff were generally useful, except one man who mumbles instead of correctly articulating, making communicating a challenge for my non-English family. Price changes seemed like a bit of a shot in the dark here, changing more dynamically than most but not bad value overall.
The bar is open to 1am.

Room Tip: Some rooms are miles away, the ground floor rooms aren't as noisy as you might think, although t...

Dear Guest,
Thank you for reviewing our hotel and the feedback given regarding our breakfast area, the design and size meaning that it can get busy at weekends when the hotel experiences a higher volume of guests staying with us. Room rates vary in accordance to demand and also by day of week, meaning that there can be a difference in tariff paid from time to time. I hope that this does not dissuade you from visiting us again in the future.
Kind regards

As with other reviews, the location is amazing. A fabulous view over the Epsom Downs and the racecourse that is faultless. Plenty of free parking available and free WIFI in the lobby area.

Everything else is what you expect from a Holiday Inn Express. The rooms have all the facilities that you would expect, the staff are ok, the food is ok and so on.

My advice would be to venture into Epsom itself (10 minute drive) and get something to eat of an evening
