Great free visit with a guided tour of the airport building and control tower. This lovely visit is taking place every first Sunday of the month. All guides were volunteers and certainly worth a donation of £5 although this was not obligatory.
Parking is free of charge as well and there is a restaurant next to the building for a nice bite. We both enjoyed our Sunday.

excellent free visit with a guided tour of the airport building and control tower to see the now long vanished days of early passenger aviation. Our guide Paul was full of anecdotes and gave interesting facts on the airport and types of planes in use as well as pioneering aviators like Amy Johnson. All guides were volunteers and certainly worth a donation of £5 although this was not obligatory. First class!!

Great museum revealing history of the former airport staffed by really enthusiastic and knowledgeable volunteers.
As well as a history of flight and flying, there is a good mix of information about famous visitors as well as local history plus some interactive exhibits for kids.
No charge but a suggested donation of £5 to keep the museum going

Croydon Airport offers a great 1/2 day out at this unique visitor centre. Home to London's first airport and control tower there are free guided tours and plenty of history to explore. With free admission and parking what more could you ask?

Our guide, Phil was knowledgeable and great with our small group. With no admission fee clearly this was worth the small donation to assist the volunteers with their work.
