I took 7 friends here for a birthday meal. The booking was handled in an exemplary way and the restaurant were able to cope with changes in time and number with aplomb. It was Monday night, wet and rainy in Croydon, normally a restaurant graveyard but this one was cheerful, busy and bustling. A good sign. We had the excellent set menu which was well thought out and delighted everyone. The wine list is comprehensive and reasonably priced. Service was professional and efficient but slightly remote and impersonal. This was the only very minor downside to what was a most enjoyable evening with great food in a very French atmosphere. Certainly a place to go back to again in Croydon, a place to go back to anyhow.

I order spinach pancake with goat cheese and as main duck. The food was fantastic,I really enjoy it and also wine.I asked if I can get rose and not to dry and I was vary happy...I can say it was maybe best restaurant I ever been. And price was very nice and reasonable...looking forward to go there again.
Also staff was vary nice and helpful and when chef went around he came to our table ask if everything is ok.

“Great evening all around!”
Reviewed December 24, 2013 via mobile

Great food, great staff, great atmosphere. Chateau briand was delectable as were the starters of crab ravioli and the calamari! 5 star, will be back soon!
One fault we ordered the sprouts and chestnuts and the portion was very small but was quickly refilled.

“Christmas meal”
Reviewed December 23, 2013

8 of us went to this restaurant for our Christmas meal on Saturday and had the set menu. It was excellent. One of my friends said it was the best cooked steak he had ever had and he is not easy to please. Excellent food and service

“Great food”
Reviewed December 22, 2013

We went on Friday 20th December for our office christmas party to the Brasserie Vacherin in Croydon. There was 33 of us that went and they had allocated us an area to sit. The ambience and food in the restaurant was great. All the office staff enjoyed the do and said they would definately return again. The wine menu was good to and the whole meal was very reasonably priced at £22.50 with an award winning chef Malcolm John cooking the food. The service provided by Sara and her team was great too and I would definately recommend the restaurant for future finctions or just a quiet romantic meal for two.
