“A quick visit”
Reviewed October 10, 2012

On my way to a train and in need of food and drink. Nice pint, food OK without a long wait. Food was basic but just what I needed. If your looking for a quick stop on your journey, then worth the visit, if your looking for fancy food, keep going.

“Smells a bit on hot days”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

The service was good and the food ok but if you sit outside be prepared for it to smell from the lake.

“good family meal”
Reviewed August 25, 2012

went for a family lunch to celebrate a birthday
it is not the poshest of restuarants but if you want nice tasting, reasonably priced food, with a good variety then this is the place
the views are nice, especially when the weather is good and the waterskiers etc are out on the lake
the tables and menus are sticky as said but good value for the price
the service is not the quickest but was ideal for us as it gave us a chance to catch up
you order the good yourself so are welcome to stay pretty much as long as you like
all in all, there is a good selection of food, wines, drinks and desserts all for a good price (especially with the two for one offer)

“Lovely to sit out looking over the lake, but food a bit hit & miss!”
Reviewed August 23, 2012

Visited here many times, lovely place to have some drinks outside in the sunshine looking over the lake & watch the watersports! Modern & spacious with a good atmosphere.
The food however is a bit hit &miss! 2 main meals for 1 is the offer at the moment, had several really nice meals here but one time you can go & the food is delicious & cooked to perfection, the next it can be sloppy & under/overcooked.. which is a shame because it lets the other times down! Not sure if this is down to different chefs?

Agree with above that the manager needs to think about his attitude, from what ive seen he is rude to his staff infront of customers & charging around in & out of the kitchen.

“filthy”
Reviewed August 22, 2012

The bar top was dirty and sticky, the menus were filthy and sticky, the glasses were dirty. A look at things on the shelves behind the bar did not give much confidence for the state of the kitchens. There wasn't enough staff and those that were there, were sullen and unhelpful.
Certainly won't be going back again soon. Such a shame because the setting was lovely. With some time and effort it could have been wonderful.
