A tricky review to do as the room was lovely, the usual Premier Inn standard, breakfast was great and the staff were very polite and friendly.
The problem was the noise, we requested a room that was in a quieter part of the hotel as we had our three year old son with us and were given room 32. It could not have been a less quiet room or closer to the Beefeater next door, our room was not more than 10 yards away.
The issue was that it has an outside area and as it was a warm night, the noise until very late was not good, this would apply to quite a few of the rooms on the ground floor from about number 28 upwards and on the 1st floor.
I was not aware of the “A Great Nights Sleep Guaranteed” and when we made the receptionist aware of our lack of sleep in a polite manner, the cost of the room was refunded without any fuss.
A lovely Premier Inn but just be wary of asking for a quiet room and ensuring it is away from the Beefeater.
Without the noise, I would have given it a rating of 4.More
