With a 2 year old in tow the big pull to this park is Thomas Land, Our son was bouncing up and down waiting to enter the park. Reasonably clean for a theme park (although the toilets could do with updating) the rides we went on were all brilliant and the information shown as to restrictions were clear. We went on a Friday the park was quiet in comparison to a weekend but still quite a few other guests, downside to this was most of the restaurants were closed such as the Safari Pizza and Pasta which was recommended to us, Not a cheap day out but thats normal for theme park of this type but if your in the same position as my wife and I, the look on your childs face when they see their favourite tv steam train infront of them its well worth the cost. Recommended rides with a child are obviously the Thomas Land rides, but also Splash Canyon as our son giggled when his mum screamed as she was soaked. Only ride I wasnt to impressed with was the 4D Cinema, the show was a little rubbish but then it is aimed at children.

Took advantage of special 2 for 1 offer for the day. It was expectionally busy and the queues for the car park & at the admission gates were indicitive of the day. Its not a cheap family day out by any stretch of the imagination - better to take your own drinks and picnics as the cash depletes steadily if you eat or drink at any of the venues availabl.

The waiting times for rides were quite frankly ridiculous - for the money you pay for entry to the amount of "thrill - time" you have on each ride...it is horrendous. You're lucky if you get to go on your chosen rides as by the time you wait in the queue - you are bored sensless and the children are more than restless.
Thomas Land was OK, my young daughter enjoyed it & we had a few rides here as the waiting times were slightly less but there was no way we could spend time her as a family to go on rides together & had to split up to get anywhere near our moneys worth of rides. My older son who wanted more grown up rides was only able to go on half the ones he wanted - down to the waiting times! I know it sounds as if I'm moaning - but standing in a queue for over an hour for each ride meant that most of our time was spend standing up squashed next to other peoople - some not so nice!
On the plus side - the sun was shining - the walk around the animals and park was interesting & there was plenty of space near the Dinosaur Park for our picnic.

Not a place I would choose to visit in either school holidays or at weekends - far to busy!
Go in term time - a much better option I'm sure !

we went to DMP had a great time until it started to rain, very few places to keep out of the rain. Kids loved Thomas Land and we will go back again in a few years when kids are a bit bigger but its really not a cheap day out (2 coffees 2 ice creams £8.20) so will start saving.....again.

3 generations of our family went for a day out here. With ages 5 to 70 to contend with we needed something for everyone and this worked very well. The park offers Thomas land for little ones and massive rollercoasters for the braver ones. We also took a break from the noise of the rides and went round the zoo. Although the enclosures looked a bit small for my liking, the animals looked well cared for and the boys lived the reptile house and the gibbons especially. We booked online for tickets abd saved £20 on a family ticket. This paid for ice creams and coffees on the
day. All in all, everyone found something they liked. I recommend this for diverse family groups.
