Just returned from a 2 night stay here as a base to visit Drayton Manor and Cadbury World with our 2 children aged 4 years and 8 months in a family room. Lovely welcome from the receptionist who took the time to speak to our 4 year old guessing we were taking him to Thomas Land. Pleasantly suprised to find the room spacious with a double bed, single bed and travel cot. Both the bedroom and bathroom where spotless. We were in a ground floor room which was close to the road but we were not disturbed by any traffic or anyone else! All staff we encountered were very friendly and helpful, always acknowledging us as we walked through the reception area.

We ate in the adjoining Table Table restaurant in the evening of both days and for breakfast. Advisable to book a table as it was busy both evenings even at 5pm. Staff here courteous but nothing more than neccessary (particularly the breakfast waitress!) The food was nothing more than you'd expect from a restaurant chain.

This is a perfect place to stay if visiting Drayton Manor/Thomas Land. It took us around 15 minutes to drive there. Not far from the M6 either.

We booked this as a one night stopover after a busy day at Drayton Manor, before going on the Lake District. We had booked two family rooms as we are mum, dad and two young sons and thought it would give us plenty of space. Upon check-in the receptionist went out of his way to explain that we could have opted for one room (saving 50%) and showed us how it would be set-up. The room would have been adequate for us but we still opted for two rooms to give us some flexibility and hopefully a more peaceful nights sleep.

The rooms were very comfortable (especially the bed/pillows), modern, clean with more than adequate bathrooms.

We had not made a dinner reservation in the Table Table next door and despite being very busy were able to accommodate us within a half hour. The food was tasty, well presented and good value for money. We were really impressed with the breakfast menu which again was great value and offered a super choice of both hot and cold options.

This was our first experience of a Premier Inn and would not hesitate to use again or recommend.

We spent two nights here and despite booking two nights at separate times it was no bother to keep us in the same room and book us in/out without having to pack up, staff very friendly, hotel clean and quite even though its near the A5. We ate at the Table Table but staff were not that helpful, they had run out of burgers and pizza's two evenings in a row and mushrooms at breakfast! Also they did not recognise my online restaurant reservations I had made through the Premier Inn website. We stayed at Premier Inn as less than a ten minute drive to Thomasland / Drayton Manor Theme Park.

We stayed here on 17/18 April as we wanted to go to Drayton Manor & Warwick Castle. It's a 10 minute drive to Drayton Manor and a 40 minute drive to Warwick Castle and a damn sight cheaper than staying at Drayton Manor Hotel! We booked adjoining rooms for our family of 5 and everything was just right for us. The rooms and the hotel were clean and the staff were very friendly. We ate breakfast & dinner in the hotel restaurant and the food and staff were excellent really making a fuss of our kids. I'd gladly stay here again when we're back up here.

Stayed with my husband and 2 year old son on a trip to Drayton Manor.

Excellent hotel, comfortable beds all set up with travel cot for our arrival.

Staff were helpful and courteous and informative.

Breakfast was tasty and plentiful. We had dinner in adjoining pub too which was very nice too.

Overall would definitely stay here again if we return to the area.

Ten mins easy drive to Drayton Manor/Thomas land x

We stayed here with 3 other families on a recent trip to Drayton Manor. The hotel is of a much higher standard than I expected. Extremely clean and comfortable. The staff were superb, and the pub attached was perfect for a big group of us. Food was good, and selection was decent. We'll certainly be staying here again, on our next trip to Thomas Land....

Arrived late for stopover before funeral, warm & efficient welcome, good night's sleep on comfy bed, already setup for 4 person occupancy which was appreciated at that hour!
Breakfast (free for kids in our party) excellent. Plentiful, good quality & choice. I've had worse breakfasts at 4* hotels for three times the price. Well recommended.

Official Description (provided by the hotel):
Premier Inn Tamworth South. The UK's fist greenest hotel bringing together the best environmental initiatives to help us towards a greener future. With our 20 ensuite bedrooms, flat screen free view TVs, adjoining restaurant (The Centurion Table Table), Air-cooling and 24hr reception. We are one of a very select few that is a Green Hotel. Here is why we are Green.1)We heat and cool the hotel using the earth's natural energy using a special underground pump. Four heat probes, 130 metres below our hotel, take advantage of the earths natural energy to dump heat in the summer and cold in the winter.2) Re-using water. All toilet flushes use grey (recycled) water - water re-used from showers and baths plus 50% of rainwater from the roof. This provides 100% off all toilet water and will save 20% of the entire water usage.3) Sustainable wool from British sheep is used in the walls creating exceptionally efficient thermal and acoustic insulation. Heat loss of the hotel is reduced by 60%4) Solar power. Solar panels have been used on the hotel's south facing roof. They can produce hot water to the system with almost no energy used. The system is expected to generate 11.740kWhr per year - enough for 1000 baths a year!5) All lighting is low energy thanks to LED's that produce high light levels while only using 5 Watts per bulb, this coupled with motion detectors means the lights are not left on. An 80% saving against standard lighting methods.6) All materials used are locally and sustainable sources. Timber is used rather than concrete where possible and when concrete is used it is a low cement that has been locally sourced. Our use of carbon has been reduced by using natural resources, sustainable materials, such as external timber cladding, and recycled materials, such as plasterboard and rendering. ... more   less
