Found blue rooms in Stone and thought it looked nice. We were given a warm welcome and a list of their pies. It was an excellent meal served very well. We will return next time we are in Stone

Having been recommended The Blue Rooms we looked forward to selecting from their comprehensive menu or famous George's pies. Having been greeted by the most pleasant hostess imaginable it was downhill all the way from there.
There was no menu as such as they were 'in between menus' - what a joke, we later realised that there was probably no chef on duty - and so we were left with a 'famous' George's steak pie. This eventually arrived almost an hour later but 2 of our 4 other main course and all the veg and sauces took another 10 minutes (whilst our waitress sorted out cutlery) - by which time our 2 main courses were cold - this convinced us the chef was not on duty, just a sous chef reheating pies and potatoes. Despite our pointing this out to the rather useless young waitress there was no offer of another warm pie. Not wanting to embarrass our friends we proceeded to eat our cold steak pies. My terrible pie finished with 3 pieces of inedible fatty steak.
We then selected our puddings but really we should have gone home. All the puddings on offer were bought in and tasteless. All in all a really disappointing night and another terrible establishment that we will not be returning to.

I have eaten here twice and each time i have been impressed by excellent food and service, very good choice of meals, the pies are fantastic, the dessert choices are hard because you want to try them all, haha, cant fault it, reasonable prices for excellent food
