“Pleasant dining experiece”
Reviewed October 7, 2013

I have visited The Colliers regularly in recent months at lunchtimes and have only good things to say about the place.

The menu is reasonably varied with reasonable prices, service is efficient and the restaurant is comfortable with a good atmosphere. The food has always been good and there is also a separate seating area for drinks after the meal making the dining experience very pleasant.

Well worth a visit and I would definitely recommend The Colliers.

“Lovely decor, standards dropping”
Reviewed October 6, 2013

I have used the Colliers on a regular basis since it opened. Initially there were issues with poor service but this improved with a change of management I believe. Standards have been good for quite some time, however we have noticed during our last few visits that the standards and service have been deteriorating and today was particularly poor. We visited for lunch, arriving at 12. I think we were the first people in the restaurant. Having been shown to our table and told someone would take our order for drinks, we waited for 10 minutes and then had to ask to order drinks. We ordered Carvery, one of our party being vegetarian. We were told there was a vegetarian option on the Carvery which was incorrect, meat only. The carvery includes a starter of soup or salad, so good value for money, however upon visiting the salad bar, found the plates to be dirty, it looked like dried egg from breakfast and it took 8 plates to find a clean one. Following our meal we moved to the bar area for an further drink and had to wait for quite some time for a member of staff to come to the bar to serve us. We were the only people at the bar. The staff are very friendly and the food is good, but the dirty plates and poor service would make us think twice about choosing the Colliers next time.
