Reviewed July 13, 2013

Our wedding guests and ourselves (newly weds) all loved this B&B. Beautiful building, beautiful rear outdoor seating, and lovely, hard working staff.

I would definitely return to stay here.

Fresh, bright rooms. Modern facilities. And free wi-fi.
Unfortunately I had a bad nights sleep, but not because of the B&B. It is right on a busy high street, so I was kept awake by childish scooters revving their engines up and down the road. :(

The tea room downstairs is very pretty, with new and old features. And the food is excellent standard.

The area the B&B is set in Leek is perfect also. Right by the market street, in the heart of everything. Enough restaurant choices to choose from too.

And the staff gave us a bottle of champers and a box of chocolates to celebrate our wedding!

Oh and not to mention VERY family friendly. Highchairs, cots, even toys and things for kids, which we were very chuffed with as we had two, 2 year olds staying.

Very happy.

Room Tip: Have a look round a hotel if poss before choosing to stay in one.

Dear Mrs_Tan_13

Thank you so much for taking the time to review us on Trip Advisor. We're really pleased that you and all your guests enjoyed your stay with us; hopefully your wedding is not a distant memory already!

Sorry your sleep was interrupted by scooters. We do have triple glazing to sound proof the rooms so we can only apologise for the excess revving from the petrol heads!

We hope to see you and the family again soon.

Kind regards

P.S. Have you enjoyed the champagne & chocolates yet? :-)

Stayed in the Executive suite while we were attending a wedding at the Ashes the last few days of June really nice place and very clean. It is on a very busy road but the double glazing kept most of the noise out. Bed was really comfortable and a good size room. Staff cleaned both days to a very good standard. Breakfast in the tea rooms was excellent and a good choice. Only complaint was the staff come into the tea rooms below at 6.30 and were very noisy talking and laughing so woulkd be a good idea to tell them to be a bit quieter until 8am

Thanks for taking the time to review The White Hart on Trip Advisor. We're really pleased you enjoyed the stay; that the bed was comfy, the housekeeping exceeded standards and our signature breakfast was well received to set you up for the day ahead!

Thanks also for the comment regarding the staff being a little jolly in the morning and laughing and talking first thing - We always appreciate feedback like this as it's the only way in which we can improve, so thanks for letting them know as they'll be much more aware in future!

Thanks for choosing to stay with us & we do hope to welcome you again soon.

Kind regards

We stayed here whilst attending a wedding at The Ashes a few miles down the road.
Everything was great, warm welcome and very good breakfast, (try the Staffordshire oatcakes, really good with your cooked breakfast) & staff more than helpful. As the B&B is also part of a tearoom, you don't have to be up early for breakfast as they are open to the public all day. Also they organise transport to & from The Ashes and it's all included in the price, very nice extra.
Our room was clean and had everything we needed, the heating worked and was easily controlled and despite being next to the main road was very quiet. I commented to the owner next morning, that our bed was really comfortable and she said they had invested in good quality beds.
Great little B&B, definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Don't think it matters, everyone in our party was really happy with their room and we had taken...

We stayed at the White Hart in Leek as we were going to a wedding, which was 20mins away by car. The room we stayed in was clean and had everything we needed. The breakfast was lovely and the staff were good. The bonus is that included in our tariff was that transport was provided to and from the venue. There is a municipal car park a few hundred yards away from the B&B, which after 3.30 on a Saturday is free and all day Sunday.

Room Tip: We stayed in Room 6, which was at the front, but it wasn't noisy considering we were on a main r...

Popped in for lunch on a day trip to Leek. Doesn't look anything special from the outside but we gave it a go as it seemed to have plenty of customers. We really liked it - lovely spacious room with stained glass windows, delicious Staffordshire oatcakes, very friendly service and truly spectacular cakes. We walked our lunch off at the RSPB reserve down the road. Would definitely come back here if in the area again

Dear Ashenhurst

Thank you so much for taking the time to review the White Hart Tea Room on Trip Advisor. We're delighted you enjoyed your time with us.

Glad you enjoyed your food. The oatcakes are locally bought and our cakes are made here on the premises (often by the wonderful Deb) - so we're really pleased to read you had a great time and would come again.

The building is listed, so sadly we can't do anything with the exterior, but we're glad that didn't deter you from stepping inside!

We do hope to welcome you again next time you're in the area. Perhaps try a different cake next time?!

Kind regards

I've never visited this tea room before. I was pleased with this tea room and I imagine its a good b&b. the menu looked nice.
We had breakfast here and it was good quality and piping hot.
It would be nicer to have a few more breakfast options as well as the usual full English.

A lovely little all day restaurant. They introduced me to the charm of cheese and bacon oatcakes for which I will forever be in their debt.

They seem to be homely and have a wide wholsome menu. Great place for families and passing tourists etc.

Dear br00kd

Thank you so much for your review. It's our absolute pleasure to have introduced you to the North Staffordshire delicacy of oatackes. I'm sorry that they're so moreish; cheese and bacon in popular but if you fancy going vegetarian we can also recommend cheese and tomato or cheese and mushroom!

Sorry if we've made you hungry. Hope to see you again soon.
