My wife and I went for midweek lunch having no idea what to expect. We were pleased to see a great offer of 2 courses for a little over £7.00. We both chose the same pate and toast with red onion chuckney to start followed be a chicken and bacon salad and a penne arabiatta. The starters came within about 10 minutes and were delicious, the mains came then and were equally 'on the mark'.
We were very comfortable and well served, the decor is fresh and clean and the whole experience was a pleasant one.
Two 2 course meals, a lemonade and a posh coffee for less than £20; fantastic!
(Large cappuccino£1.95, lemonade £1.80)
We have family to entertain in a couple of weeks and will be straight back there.
We'll be booking a Saturday lunchtime table just to be sure.

We went to Getliffes on a Friday night to a friends Birthday night. Ordered before hand thou as the friend asked us to so that they could get all the ingredients in. Forgot what I ordered so friend reminded me as the waiters where coming out and asking who ordered this,
Would have loved to have changed my mind but as the food was coming out I thought I could not.
Found it strange that on the table there was half a roll and butter , never have I been to a restaurant to find half a roll usually there would be a full roll even it's a small one. Knew this was not going well, and to top that off my friend only had soup as a starter , and guess what No roll with that ! Main meal was ok , we had fish and chips, nothing special and the fish although good was very small, and a small pot of peas and tar tar sauce. Can not fault the sweets, they were lovely , found it odd though that the waiters were coming to the tables a lot asking if we wanted another drink from the bar, yes it's nice to have table service but for me a bit to often we were asked by different staff. but there were about 25 of us , and at 10pm there were only us in the place

We recently visited here for a Saturday lunchtime. The venue has indeed had a refurb (different colour scheme) but the interior layout remains the same.

Service was polite, prompt and efficient. Staff have obviously been trained and that now shows (we've experienced issues in the past). We ate from the lunchtime menu which had a good choice and we felt good value for money. The lunch menu wasn't advertised outside (just the evening one) so we had to ask to see it. Potentially this could put people off who prefer lighter lunchtime options.

We only had sandwiches and a side of chips. Sandwiches were generously filled and served on tasty, fresh bread. Coffee was good too (served with small shortbread style biscuit).

Getliffes has a great location with both indoor and outdoor seating. Consistency has been an issue in the past with both service and food quality. We felt that the food and service had much improved so I hope that this continues. The evening menu appears to be aimed towards fine dining.

Having visited Fat Olives numerous times and each time had an excellent meal I was surprised to see In the local press that the restaurant had had a makeover and rebranded as Getcliffes.Leek has an abundance of good eateries but we were keen to visit Getcliffes
Very disappointing indeed! The decor is cold and unwelcoming! The lunchtime menu appeared good value for money but lacked quality and I feel that new venture will be unsuccessful, Fat Olives did not this makeover!Sorry but I love supporting local ventures but probably won't visit Getliffes again

Visited this modern restaurant on a quiet evening and thoroughly enjoyed excellent pasta and paella dishes followed by delicious sweets.
