Just came back from a 2 night stay in the Moor view farm B & B ,It was lovely, set in the country side with fab views, the rooms were comfy and cosy , with a home from home feel to it.
We were going to Alton towers which was a 10 min drive away down some county roads with stunning senic views on the way,an ideal location if your visting the park.
The owner David was lovely and very welcoming and made a great fried breakfast to suit all taste,
The rooms were clean, quiet and had most things you need although a full lenght mirror would have been good....all in all a great b and b,would stay again as the area has lots to offer.

This review is actually for Sept 2009.
We stayed for 1 night only at this B&B before our trip to Alton Towers the next day. This was the best priced location we could find as other nearer options were fully booked.

The room was nice and clean with shower ensuite and good power shower.
The breakfast next day was very generous and we could have as much as we wanted.
We were made to feel very comfortable.

Although not near Alton Towers, the quiet location more than made up for it.
It was whisper quiet at night and we slept really well.
The surrounding areas are either houses or farms. We did see grazing cattle during a walk around.

We found their website on www.moorlandviewfarm.co.uk
We made our booking direct with David the owner & he was a jolly friendly chap!
Overall very good quality B&B. Recommended!

We booked over night here for an early start at Alton Towers, as the B&B is only about 10-15minutes drive from there. We were made to feel very welcome by David, and shown to a lovely room, very spacious and welcoming, with a great en-suite. The bed was clean as was the bathroom, though some of the furniture in the room could have done withg a flick over with a duster. Our bed was not very comfy, but that is probably down to personal taste, I'm sure others will find it just right. The rooms have been thoght about, and offer little extras like expensive handwash and shower gel, as well as biscuits to go with your tea. The views from teh room were beautiful. In the morning wwe went down for breakfast and were again made very welcome by David, though slightly less so by his wife - maybe she was having a bad morning. The breakfast was expansive, everything you could want, and all perfectly cooked and presented. Overall, a gem of a B&B andf we intend on coming back.

Stayed here for two nights and found the place to be very welcoming and homely. Our room was clean and had lovely views of moorland. Ensuite shower and bath wereexcellent. The shower was strong and hot. Breakfasts were good and the poached eggs in particular, were beautifully cooked.
David and Sue made us very welcome.

We stayed in the Robins Nest cottage for 4 nights and we loved it, the cottage was lovely, spacious for a small group and homely. Ideal base for Alton Towers. Hopefully we will return soon. The owners were very pleasant and helpful.

Myself and my daughter stayed at this Bed and Breakfast before a visit to Alton Towers. The owners were very friendly from the moment we arrived until the moment we left. This B&B exceeded all my expectations, our room was bigger than my bedroom at home, and the ensuite bathroom was also loads bigger than my own bathroom at home. In the bathroom were all condiments(if thats what they are called) Shampoo, Conditioner, shower Gel, Handwash, earbuds, sewing kit, Ladies monthlys etc, and Towels, so if we had of forgotten anything we would have been ok. The beds were extremely comfortable, even a bed was made up for my 3 yr old daughter, which was lovely as i was expecting her to just share my bed. We had full sky television, including Movies, which was also a lovely surprise as i was just expecting channels 1 to 5. Full tea making facilties were also provided, and we found the guest services book very useful, this had a full list of pubs, and places to eat in. We had our evening meal at The Red Lion (the Local pub to the B&B) which was recommend by the owner, it was only a very short drive away and the food was superb and very good value for money. The locals were very friendly. Breakfast was supberb, we were asked on arrival what we would like, and they accomated my Daughters fussy eating habits, my Full English was cooked to perfection, when we arrived in the dining rrom we also had an excellent choice as well as the Full English that was cooked for me. On the breakfast table to choose from was, Fruit, Yogurts, Cereal, Orange Juice, Tea, and Coffee. On the website for this B&B it says Alton Towers is 6 miles away, but my Sat Nav said 4.7 miles away, we were at Alton Towers within Minutes of leaving. I would highly recommend this B&B, and reading the visitors book that i filled in before leaving i would say so would everyone that had stayed there. An extremely comfortable and enjoyable stay.
