Village pub a couple of miles outside Eccleshall.
We have eaten here three times over the last few months, and it has been consistently good.
It is quite a large building and although we have always eaten in the bar there is also a separate dining room.
They generally have two sometimes three real ales on (been different ones each visit) and I've always found them to be in good condition.
The landlord is friendly and seems to be very involved in what goes on in the kitchen. Quality meat and large portions seem to be the mainstay of the menu. I'm guessing he may be an ex-butcher (although this is purely speculation!).
It isn't the cheapest pub for food but you do get what you pay for.
Worth supporting as this pub has seen periods of closure and it is encouraging that they now have a landlord with the capability to make it work.
