The concept is easy, melted chocolate in a mould, then cooled while you draw the wrapper which you put over the chocolate in the foil, there's also chocolate pizza etc all with similar concepts. So why does it look so difficult?...
Here is the issue from watching, the older lady (I believe the owner) rushes about doing everything while the younger workers look more clueless, one of them even licked chocolate off their fingers and then served a child!!!! (I hope they read this and have a discussion about this Behaviour!)
The idea of a nice time making chocolate soon became a chore, bore and frustrating. Throughout the whole set up we had to keep asking for the next stage,as the little one along with others where getting fed up of the wait. It would be much simpler for each member of staff to run their own section (one on moulds, one collecting, one putting in the tent, one handing out colours Etc) instead it's all unorganised.
The idea is nice and with time and more discussion it will be a great little business but there are a few tips for the owners (which I assume read)
- make the concept easier on yourselves and the staff
-have better selection of toppings for the chocolate, the ones provided are a little dull including them cookie cereals
-speak to your staff about hygiene and also think if the kids and adults are wearing green hair nets for the experience maybe you should all wear one to,make it authentic
And don't put yourself on group on etc if you struggle to work with the amount of kids that come in.
So would I recommended it to you the reader? Yes for a little experience im saying this cause i believe this business can become bigger unlike lots of burton business that come and go,so we should invest and give advice, but at the same time due to this being an honest review for you, you could buy some moulds and make at home with Cadburys Etc for much cheaper, the children didn't seem to keen on the chocolate, the milkshake was left and i even tasted some it wasn't nice, the hot chocolate looked great but failed on taste.
I personally wouldn't go back until its found its feet and its not so busy, but maybe we will return one day. You should give it a go and support/try the local business but if your not from the area, seriously don't bother cause you'll be disappointed.
Hope this helps the company and the people who are interested.
