After visiting the Royal Memorial Arboretum with 10,000 other bikers , we had arranged to stay a couple of nights nearby and meet up with some friends from Southampton, the staff where very helpful , the rooms where clean and spacious , the breakfast choice was good now they are doing a hot breakfast.Could not have asked for more . would go again.

Room Tip: rooms at the back may be quieter than the ones at the front , traffic noise.

Warm atmosphere in the reception/sitting area. Staff were very welcoming even though we arrived very late, the room was exceptionally clean, breakfast was very fresh, being continually topped up and a good choice of cereal pastries and hot food. Plenty of free parking. Central location.

This is a newish (at 2013) hotel on the outskirts of Burton near the busy A38. We stayed one Saturday night. We booked ahead on-line direct with Hilton Group and got a room for two for £59 (which was cheaper than through other on-line travel booking sites). It wasn't really clear on the Hilton site whether breakfast was included so I rang the hotel before we finally booked and they confirmed breakfast was in the price. On arrival reception was straight forward and staff friendly. Room was ready for us, and as we expected for this type of accommodation, straight forward, simple, and clean. We had twin beds, and the mattresses were really soft if you like that sort of thing, personally I don't. Only real problem was the slight smell of drains in the bathroom which we reported on checkout. Our room was on the busy A38 side but it wasn't noisy enough to be really noticeable (but this might be different during the working week). Plenty of hot water for morning shower. Buffet breakfast in the morning was served in-house but was rather limited, and when it became busy whilst were eating, the buffet area began to resemble a free-for-all. Filter coffee not to be recommended, but alternative machine coffee OK. So, all in all, we got what we paid for. Would probably stay again if the price was right.

Room Tip: Rooms on the side not facing the A38 likely to be quieter .

I stayed here with my family last weekend and found the hotel exactly as I expected. It is a reasonably new budget hotel.
Check-in was busy as there were lots of people trying to check-in early and the rooms were not ready, we had two rooms booked and were able to access one. The first room was on the first floor and the second room allocated was on the top floor. The staff were helpful enough to swap rooms for me so that we could all be together on the same floor.
Our stay was uneventful although it sounded like someone was having a firework party close by at 1am - this was nothing to do with the hotel and surprising considering we were out of town on a retail park.
Breakfast was really busy but there was plenty of food available, just not enough seats, however they did open up the conference room for us to eat in.

Room Tip: The rooms at the back of the hotel overlook the playground of what seems to be a pre-school - late sleepers during the week may want to request a front of hotel location.
