Visited on Sunday at 6.30pm as a party of two families. Table of eight. Called earlier and told could not book but that table for this number would not be a problem. I was doubtful but good to their word when we turned up at the allotted time a table was found easily and quickly. Only food option offered was carvery but as this is what we came for this was fine. Drinks order taken fairly quickly and served whilst we waited in line for carvery. Food was generally ok. I had beef which was a little tough. Yorkhire puds are big and look great but lack taste and seasoning. Vegetables were good overall. Roasties very good as were parsnips. Carrots and cauliflower fine. Sprouts looked like they had been cooked in a nuclear reactor and for some reason the red cabbage came in two colours! Gravy was good. Overall for £9 for adult meal it was fine. Enjoyed first visit and will go back. Value good.
