Stayed in the Three Queens Lodge last weekend and it was a very pleasant stay.
My boyfriend, our two friends and I chose the hotel because we wanted somewhere close to the theme park Alton Towers. The hotel is roughly 40 minutes away so it was ideal for us.
The location was also great for us because it was 2 minutes down the road from a Wetherspoons pub, a Thai restaurant and a Chinese takeaway (which we took full advantage of).
The hotel itself has it's own restaurant but we decided not to eat there because it was a little too pricey for us students!
We were given two double rooms (208 and 209) on the ground floor that appeared to be in their own separate suite with it's own entrance. It was nice that the hotel had this variety of room layouts and it was a nice touch for a group of friends like us!
The rooms themselves were clean and well furnished and the bathroom was very clean and modern with a great power shower and a lovely hot towel rail. A hair-dryer was supplied for us, and there was a good variety of TV channels, with wi-fi available on the smart TV for an extra price. The sheets and free refreshments were replenished each day.
We did have a slight problem with the door to room 208 not closing properly but when we mentioned it to reception they were very polite and sorted it straight away.

The best thing about the stay was the bed! It was SO comfortable that I did not want to get up in the morning - it was lovely.
Thanks for a great stay!

Stayed here last weekend for 2 nights whilst visiting friends in Burton. The room was spacious and comfortable, with a great shower & good facilities. The staff were very helpful when we ran out of milk for tea and when we asked for some salt to help with my husband's toothache. My only quibble was the lack of a bedside lamp - this would have probably been better than the reading lights embedded in the ceiling - but will definately use this place again. It's a good base for visiting lots of other surrounding attractions. Thanks to other for recommending this place.

We booked into the lodge for two nights & by the welcome we recieved on arrival we knew we had found somewhere really special. The staff are a real credit to the lodge, nothing too much trouble & are happy to assist with many questions about the area, directions & offer advice on local attractions. They really stress that they are there to help & to make your stay memorable, We have never met such a friendly team of people. Breakfast was excellent, hot, fresh & amazing value for money, I do not know of any other hotel that offers such a great selection & such good quality food. The rooms are far more superior to any national "lodge chain" comfortable, spacious, clean & made for a relaxing stay. We will be recommending this place to everyone we know.

I was on business in Burton On Trent for 5 weeks. The Three Queens Lodge provided excellent service. The employees of the hotel go above and beyond to please. Excellent breakfast at the hotel and the pub food is also the best in the area. Hotel is in a great location with easy access to train station, restaurants, market, bus service (to other towns) and shops. I would definitely stay here again if I return to Burton On Trent.

Room Tip: Ask whether you're in the main building or the addition. Be prepared for no elevator in the addition.

Stayed for the weekend in the lodge (attending a family wedding). Rooms were good size, clean and well-presented. Food in the AA rosette restaurant was excellent - very tasty and above standard of normal hotel food. Nice comfortable bar. Sleeping was no problem even though the room we had overlooked a main road. Only real downside was that the rooms in the lodge do not have air conditioning - it was rather hot at times. More a problem, I guess, in summer than winter? Staff were friendly and efficient - very welcoming. Would highly recommend this hotel.....
