i visit her usually at least once a week. There are lots of nice little shops to visit, and a lovely little toy museum. It's a lovely walk around the marina.

Best tea room around. Visit toy museum. Lovely clothes shop and quirky home interior shop. Also lovely walk around the canal basin

A little gem out of the way. If you love canal boats this is well worth a visit as we have never seen so many boats before. Lovely pub/restaurant and great shops.

I enjoyed one of the walks around the lakes and seeing the wildlife. The narrow boats in the marina were interesting and the small shops/cafes offered quality produce, some of it on the pricey side.

If you are on a long drive up the A38 near Burton upon Trent, I suggest you take a break and visit Barton Marina. It has shops and restaurants also pleasant walks around the three scenic lakes with lots of different wild life.
It also has facilities for overnight stays, if you are caravaning or with a narrow boat.
Visit the butcher, baker and ice cream maker shop. The ice cream is excellent. The apple tree restaurant I would recommend for a light meal. The staff are very friendly and the food is fare priced.
