When visiting Alton, for either work or play, don't keep to the high street for refreshments, Tiggywinks Pantry is worth a visit. You can find this cafe at the back of the Banks car park, near the library.
Rita & Jamie, who run the establishment are extremely friendly and Jamie has TV credits to his name.
Although being in a community centre, the seating is nothing to write home about the service but value for money is.
The food is mainly basic, breakfasts to order, sandwiches, burgers etc, it is ideal for those with children to feed, especially if on a budget as at present tea/coffee is only £1, bacon sandwich £2. Take away is also available.
This is not a well advertised venue, but they do open Monday-Friday moning and some of the afternoon, and Saturday morning until approx 12.30.They are also available for outside catering on occassion.
All cakes sold are homemade by Rita on the premises.
Give this venue a go, it won't break the bank and I am sure that like me you will return.
