Stayed here for 2 nights with my boyfriend while visiting Alton Towers.
The welcome we received was fantastic. Lovely comfortable room. Nothing was too much trouble.
Breakfast was great served in the lovely breakfast room.
There was no problem with us being a gay couple either.
Unfortunately they are in the process of selling up.... hopefully the new owners will continue in the same way.
We would definitely choose to stay there again, and would recommend it to anyone.

Me and my partner decided to take a trip to Alton Towers back in June for a couple of nights, and as we had such a great stay last time we were at the Warren, we decided to stay again! We were booked into a double room, different to the previous room we had stayed in but just as cosy, clean and comfortable. We arrived late and I had forgotten to tell Annette, but this was no problem after I left her a message and the room was open, ready and waiting for us and Annette popped down to see us and greet us.

The B&B is very quiet and secluded, parking right outside the room and a lovely en suite plus fridge complete with fresh milk for tea and coffee. The weather was lovely so we made use of the patio looking out onto the valley (much to the dismay of my hayfever suffering partner!).

The breakfast was great quality, cooked perfectly with good portion sizes. The continental choice was outstanding as always. After Annettes recommendation last time, we ate at the Bulls Head for dinner which was a nice walk into the village.

I want to wish Annette and Keith all the best for the future, and to enjoy whatever their next venture may be! Truly they have set the bar high for other B&Bs, and I hope they can now relax and enjoy the future.

Room Tip: Any room is of great quality and very clean!

My wife, our 17 month old son and I recently stayed at the Warren for 3 nights. My wife and I visited the Warren before (11 years ago!) and we decided to visit again due to the fact it is very close to Alton Towers and we had such great memories of our previous trip.

The Warren is an exceptional B&B located in a very quiet village with stunning scenery. The room we had (double room) was immaculate and had everything we needed for a relaxing stay. The bed was very comfortable and the bathroom was spotless with a great shower. There was a t.v and DVD player in the room along with a good selection of DVD's to chose from. As other people have mentioned, there is a folder full of information about the surrounding area (where to eat etc)

The cooked breakfasts were excellent, freshly prepared and also a wide selection of fruits, cereals, yogurt etc.

Annette and Keith (the owners) were particularly good with our son. Any time it looked like he was about to kick off (which toddlers do!) Annette would let him play with her grandchildren's toys to keep him entertained and spare the eardrums of the other guests. He definitely enjoyed all the extra attention he was getting!

Overall, I would highly recommend The Warren. A great deal of credit has to be given to Annette and Keith, not only for how The Warren is presented, but for the extra mile that they would go to make your stay even more enjoyable. They can be extremely proud of the work they have done and the reviews on TripAdvisor prove that we are not the only guests to think that way.

Thanks again! Barry, Donna and Daniel

We wanted a b and b close to Alton Towers. After referring to trip advisor we narrowed it down to The Warren and where fortunate to get a double room. located on the edge of Alton The Warren has lovely views and grounds. The room was room was modern and tastefully decorated and was large enough to have a desk and sofa. The bathroom was a good size. All rooms where spotlessly clean. The bed was comfy and had quality bedding. Although there where 2 other rooms with occupants you could not hear them from the room. The breakfast room was on the next floor and had lovely views down the valley. A good breakfast was served and there was a good choice of cereals, fruit and juices. We could not have wished for better hosts Annette and Keith. From the minute we arrived they where cheer full and full of advice for our stay. Nothing was too much trouble! We would highly recommend this b and b as it is one of the best we have stayed at.

The title of this review (Excellent) covers all aspects of my families stay with Annette and Keith. The triple room with ensuite was immaculate both in cleanliness and decorative order, the gardens were also kept to a high standard. Advice given by Annette on local places to eat and also to walk to Alton Towers to avoid traffic chaos was much appreciated. As stated in previous reviews the selection at Breakfast was superb (but I had the fry-up). Thanks for a great stay David Julia & Alyshia.
