Just stopped for one night prior to a day at Alton towers. We were camping on a hard standing pitch with hook-up. Site was clean and owners very friendly. Only fifteen pitches. Family bathroom as well as single sex toilets and showers that are clean and warm. Will definitely book again next time we are that way.

We have just returned from a two night stay at cottage number 3. this is our second visit, and we will definitely return again.
The location is ideal fro a trip to Alton towers, and is lovely and peaceful. The cottages are cosy, and have special little touches that make it perfect, like menus of the local restaurants and take aways. Tea, coffee and even fresh milk is provided.
It was really easy to get our key, and just as easy to check out.
The cottages are very clean, and very homely. There is also a small play area for younger children. $ of us stayed here, and there was plenty of room.
I would definitely recommend to our friends and family.

Room Tip: All of the cottages are lovely

The location of the site is perfect if you are visiting Alton Towers. We spent three nights here during the first week of the Easter holidays and it couldn't be more perfect. The hard standing pitches are large and have small wooden fences round the perimeter, plenty of room for a van, awning, car and outside tables and chairs if the weather is good.

The toilet/shower block is new and beautifully maintained, hot running water although take a shower cap if you don't want to get your hair wet!

The surrounding landscape is breathtaking and so peaceful. We shall definitely return to this site!

Thank you for your lovely comments. We are very pleased you enjoyed your stay with us even though the weather was not ideal. I think many people are pleasantly surprised by the great scenery which provides some calmer activities after a day or two at 'The Towers'

We stayed at this lovely site for 3 nights, for our 2 day pass into Alton Towers. Unfortunetely it snowed heavily and was below zero, causing Alton towers to be closed! We were able to use the sites excellent facilities, they have a shower block better than most sites we have stayed in, a real benefit when your stuck on a site with 3 kids in tow! The owners were very good in checking on us and when we decided to call it a day (the water containers were become totally solid with ice) they happily allowed us to store our caravan on the site, as our storage facility was also snowed in! We would like to say a big thank you to them for a lovely stay. We will be coming back, maybe in better weather!

We go to Splash Landings every year and have tried various accommodation including the Alton towers hotel. This was the best trip we have had by miles.
We stayed for 2 nights for about the same price as one night at the hotel which meant we didn't have to do the long drive on the same day as swimming.
We arrived on Friday night and were greeted with a warm welcome, fast check in and a lovely warm cottage to chill out in.
A lot of thought has clearly been put into equipping the cottage as we had everything we needed. It was easy to quickly put together a meal in the well appointed kitchen and then chill out in front of a DVD.
As a family self catering suits us far better than a hotel and lower Michelin farm provided a comfortable and safe place for us to chill out.

Excellent value. I'll be coming back.

Gareth
