This self-catering accommodation is comfortable, quiet and set in an area of beautiful countryside. Just the place to get away from it all and enjoy lovely walks. Don't miss the wonderful ruins of Croxden Abbey just down the road.

Stayed here with husband for a mini break to Alton towers. Couldn't have asked for anything more - gorgeous tranquil location with stunning views, and very nicely decorated and cosy interior. Everything you want to get away from busy life! The garden area is superb, and free wifi too. The owner was really friendly and we felt right at home. The property is surrounded by sheep and we loved watching the little lambs trot about! We both slept incredibly well, and wouldn't hesitate to return.

“The perfect place for a peaceful getaway!”
Reviewed April 27, 2015 for a stay in April 2015

A lovely cottage in a lovely quiet area! The perfect place for a well earned rest, everything was great, location, accommodation and of course Dorothy. The local pub served good sized portions and good beer but if you're planning on being there after dark, don't forget the torch!

When we arrived we were met by a lovely lady called dorothy who showed us round the cottage and then left us to our own devices the cottage is spotless, plenty of beautiful scenery and lovely walks. Close to alton towers and 5 minutes to supermarket. An all round pleasant stay and would definitely return.

It is the perfect place for couples and families with little children.
We went with our daughter in the summer of 2013 she was 3 at the time and returned the summer 2014 as we found the place amazing and very close to Alton Towers and other interesting places to visit as Abraham Heights , caves, etc. Dorothy is very friendly and makes sure that the quests's needs are fully met. We loved to wake up saying hello to the cows and sheep. We strongly recommend this cottage. Thanks Dorothy
