“Great food”
Reviewed January 26, 2014

The smell of the sea air can only enhance the flavours of this delightful chip shop. You can't go wrong with the food here

“Don't bother”
Reviewed October 3, 2013

This used to be a great little place with cheerful service but something has happened.
The chips, which was all I had as it's quite pricey, were fatty and wet at the same time. How can you do that? They were luke warm, a dull brown colour and when I unwrapped them outside they were moulded together in a solid mass.
As the 2 cafes opposite were closed and I was banking on these for lunch it was my only option so I made myself eat them. I felt like the wolf in The Wolf & the 7 Kids story who swallowed a bag of rocks for the next 12hrs.
One lady serving was pleasant and smiling but the other was annoyed at having her conversation interupted. They close dead on time or before it seems too.

“Excellent”
Reviewed August 9, 2013

This is situated beside the museum and adjacent to the harbour. Wonderful friendly service and delicious properly cooked fish and chips. There is a wide choice in portion size too so from a full meal to a cone of chips it can be done.
Because it is near the harbour and marina you can eat you're meal sat watching the boats or the sea.
