We visited The London Inn on a busy day in August when a lot of other establishments in Watchet were fully booked. We didn't have high expectations, but the staff were very friendly and helpful and we were seated in the restaurant with a lovely view of the harbour. The food was freshly prepared and we very much enjoyed our meals.

We visited The London Inn on a busy August day on a lovely summers day. We decided to give them ago having read their pretty poor reviews, but everyone has their bad days and the food was very reasonable. We ordered 2 starters and 2 mains and all 4 meals were lovely. The two steaks were cooked how we like them and the crab cakes were very tasty. The restaurant overlooks the watchet harbour, so lovely views. We only waited no more than 15 mins for everything and the young lad that was waiting on was teally friendly. Give it ago, we enjoyed it.

Downstairs bar not bad. Food and service were OK, but ambience in upstairs dining room didn't exist and felt like a youth hostel.

We wanted to eat a meal here but we were very early (it was 5.15pm and they start food at 6pm) so decided to have a drink and wait. The person who served us was Sue, and unfortunately not the friendliest of people we have ever met. She was busy reading her paper and seemed miffed that we had interrupted her. We sat with our drinks then a few locals came in and she was chatting quite happily with them. We decided not to stay for a meal and she didn't even say good bye as we left! The name of the game is "hospitality", which was sadly lacking in this instance.

The manager was rude, we ordered food and sat down, once the food arrived it was wrong, we sent it back as it had salad & chips when it was ordered with chips & garlic bread, when it arrived back it had only garlic bread and was cold, no one asked if it was ok, the waitress told us her shift was over so from now on we would have to go to the bar, we explained that the food had arrived back wrong so she apologized, next thin we can hear the chef and manager arguing over the order, when the manager came back he said it comes with this or this and that is it, we later asked to speak to the manager and it happened to be the same person, once I suggested his manors were rude his comment back was what do you expect me to do bend over backwards for you! What happened to customer service!
